Appearance:
Sophia is a decent height at 5’8”. She is slender and pale but is getting more color as the days go on. She has an angular face with round nose. Her eyes are slate grey and are a little narrower than most. Sophia has a small mouth but big complaints come out of it. Her hair is black in color; it hangs freely to her shoulders. The few bangs that she has are pushed to either side of her head. Her hands are rougher than most. She also has a scar on her left eyebrow that she got when she was young. No eyebrow hair grows on the scar.

Sophia is usually wearing a simple green dress with a brown leather belt around her waist. She wears knee high dark brown leather boots that are laced up in the front. Sophia wears riding gloves most of the time since her hands are rough and crack easily in the cold weather.

Personality:
Sophia isn’t always the nicest person to be around. If she’s in a good mood, she’ll help you only if it benefits her somehow. If she’s in a bad mood… let’s just say you don’t want to see her in a bad mood. Sophia usually only looks out for herself and many have called her selfish and uncaring, but she was basically alone in the world for most of her life and only knew selfishness. Sophia can be very blunt with her statements or sarcastic depending if she likes you or not. She usually gets right to the point and isn’t one for small talk.

Sophia is extremely neat. She is always clean and fresh and typically looks decent. One of her main jobs when she was a drudge was to clean the kitchen after each day. She did enjoy that one part of her life, but desisted cooking. Sophia was okay at cooking but she hated the heat of the kitchen and all the grueling work involved in making a meal. Sophia loves to clean; she would clean all day if she had to. If she has nothing to do, she’ll clean. If she’s in a happy mood, she’ll clean. If she’s in a mad mood, she’ll clean. Basically Sophia loves cleaning so if you ask her to clean something, it will be done and quickly too.

Sophia is one to plan things out and have a plan of action before doing anything. So most times Sophia is a quick thinker and can make plans out of the nowhere. Also Sophia is very impatient; when she makes a plan or plans things out, she wants to start right away. Sophia doesn’t like to wait on things to happen and will act on her desires unless she is forced otherwise, which was often the case when she was a drudge. Most times her plans work, but on several occasions they did not leaving her with scars and bad memories. Sophia is actually terrified of herdbeasts because of a plan gone wrong.

Sophia complained often about her life to the other drudges when working in the kitchens. She will speak out if she doesn’t like something or if something doesn’t go how she planned it. Sophia is used to the fact that people sometimes ignore her because of her rudeness and/ or her complaints and she just says that it their loss not hers. Even though, Sophia has a few friends and treasures them dearly.

Sophia is somewhat of a rebel. When she doesn’t like a rule or if the rule has no benefit for her, Sophia will most likely break it. Sophia when she was young had a hard time sleeping after her father passed away so at night she snuck out of her room to look around since she couldn’t sleep. She got caught a few times but never was severely punished for it.


History:
Sophia had a pretty enjoyable life with her father until she was seven turns old. Her father died from illness and she was alone in the world. One of the kitchen drudges took her in and Sophia became a kitchen drudge herself working for her meals. Her foster mother was very strict; her own mother died giving birth to her. Sophia learned to deal with her foster mother but she hated her foster mother. She was worked to the bone every day and every night and wanted something better for herself. Sophia didn’t think the drudge’s life was for her and she despised the manual labor that it required. At age 13, Sophia planned her escape from Nabol Hold and her life as a kitchen drudge. It took her a turn to finally leave Nabol with some traveling merchants to Crom Hold. Sophia was unsure of what was to come but she went anyway. When she arrived at Crom Hold, she was forced to work in the kitchen again. Sophia resented the ones who made her work for her food once again. She worked in the kitchen unsure of what to do for three more turns.

Sophia was cleaning up after a day’s work when a blue dragon was on a Search in the Hold. The
dragon found her as she walked to her sleeping place. She would be a candidate in the next hatching according to the out-of-breath rider. She and the blue rider on his dragon went off to Fire Stone Weyr where Sophia would live for the rest of her life.

On her first standing, Sophia impressed Nalith, the beautiful gold. She and her dragon have been inseparable. She trained as the Junior Weyrwoman as Nalith grew. When the previous Weyrwoman retired, it was Sophia's turn. Sophia has been Weyrwoman for a two turns now and once again feels Nalith eagerness to rise.
