Our Statement
Fantasmic was created with the intent of giving literate Disney roleplayers
a place where they can roleplay with any Disney character they choose,
in any setting, under any plotline. Characters are welcome to become active
in as many threads as they so choose, and may reply to posts at their own
convenience, without worry of stalling a whole forum plot.
- Fantasmic operates under a PG-13 rating. This means that we allow a small degree of language and violence, but you MUST remain in-character. For instance, it's unlikely that Genie would swear and curse Aladdin out, but it is reasonable to think that with his powers, he could be involved in some degree of action violence. Keep in mind what sort of language would be natural to your character and the world they come from, and make sure that what you write is appropriate to your character and the situation at hand!
- No godmodding/powerplaying. Plain and simple. It's rude, and it could mess up plans the other player might have for their character. If you don't know what godmodding is, please ask so we can explain it to you, or do a quick Google search.
- If you have a problem with someone/something on on the board, please contact a member of the staff. Do NOT try to solve issues on your own. This usually leads to more problems than you started with, and it is ideal to have a neutral party mediating. This applies to disagreements with your fellow roleplayers, or problems you might have with what is going on in a thread, amongst other things.
- Continuing from the previous: please be kind to other members, and respect their opinions! Remember to check what you've written in your posts before you press the submit button. Don't say something you wouldn't want said to you! Remember the golden rule, treat others the way you'd like to be treated!
- To keep the board tidy, we ask that all signatures be around 200 height/400 width or UNDER. Anything bigger and you will be asked by a mod to remove/resize it. If any image stretches the layout, please use a thumbnail provided by imageshack.us, or simply link to the image. Also, please keep images relevant and appropriate. We also ask that animations in signatures are kept to a minimum. A small eye-blink or something like that is fine, but please nothing too flashy!

- At this time, you are allowed to claim unlimited characters. Each character requires their OWN roleplay account. When posting your application, please do so under the correct character account. Please do NOT post profiles for new characters on your other active character accounts!
- Feel free to utilize the "Roleplay 101" tutorials in the FAQ/Ask the Admin section! They contain helpful tips and reminders to help you polish your writing skills. Remember: we are looking for proper grammar, spelling, and sentence structure here at Fantasmic, and we like to see at least 200 words per post! It is also helpful to look over accepted applications to get an idea of what we're looking for.
- If you have any questions/concerns about anything, you are always welcome to contact a staff member! For general questions, please feel free to utilize the FAQ board, and remember to check there to see if your query has already been addressed. We ask that Fant members do NOT answer questions posted in the FAQ. You are, of course, welcome to elaborate on a question if you are wondering something similar, etc. But to prevent any confusion/misinformation, we ask that ONLY Staff members provide answers.
- Please try not to make "perfect" characters. Every character has flaws, and often these are key to giving your character depth and real personality. Really take a good look at your character's personality, as this is perhaps the MOST important aspect of your application.
- Please do NOT pm/email/message/call out in the Cbox/ harass the staff asking "when will my profile be approved/reviewed/accepted/etc." We each have our own lives to tend to, and we typically discuss applications as a group before accepting them. Some applications take longer to review than others, but we PROMISE we haven't forgotten your app! We will contact you as soon as possible.
- Just because a username is taken does NOT mean that the character is! If the username is color-coded and filed into a roster, most likely that means they are. But if the name is gray and unsorted, that character is still up for grabs! If a character appears to be inactive, feel free to PM us about it! If you have to register as something like Simba01, we can fix the usernames and switch them out when you are approved.
- If you can only be online a few times a month, please DO NOT TAKE A MAJOR FILM CHARACTER. If your character plays a large role in plots, it isn't fair to keep people waiting on them. If you lack time, we encourage you to try for secondary characters rather than characters like Aladdin, Maleficent, or Simba--and there are some great secondary characters in the Disney universe!
- Concerning the acceptance of profiles, please understand that our priority is QUALITY. We are looking for people with a good understanding of their character and strong writing skills. We will accept the first application for a character THAT MEETS OUR REQUIREMENTS, not necessarily the first application to go up. If someone is currently applying for a character you want, please feel free to post your application as well--yours might be better than the other person's!
- We ask that all members wait one month between new applications, or between dropping one character and applying for a new one. This cuts down on what we call "impulse-apping," and gives players a while to consider whether or not they can keep all of their characters active, or if the character they have in mind is one they REALLY want, not just someone they want to apply for on a whim.
- You must have at least 12 In-Character posts with your newest character before applying for a new character. We want to see that a player can be active before allowing them to pick up new characters!
- Please DO NOT reply to RP-related topics until you've been accepted! We don't mind if you chat in the cbox or post in OOC sections--but be aware that there is still the possibility that your application may not be accepted.

- We consider ourselves a literate/intermediate, 3rd person RPG. This means no one-liners, abbreviations, or chatspeak; we want to see 200+ words, proper grammar and punctuation, paragraphs, spell-checking, etc. You don't have to purple-prose, but please at least put some time and effort into your writing!
- Yes, you CAN be in multiple threads at once. This roleplay covers timespans (seeing as it's all a dream), so anything can happen at any time. We recommend you utilize the character plot threads in the Bulletinboard section to aide in keeping track of your threads.
- Please remember: our members are not on 24/7! Be ready to wait for responses in your threads -- this is not a chatroom/IM rpg. Feel free to start multiple threads so you can be roleplaying with a variety of people. If your roleplaying partner appears to be missing/they have not replied to the Activity Check, move your character on and ask us to close the thread for you.
- While participating in the roleplay threads, please keep OOC conversations to an absolute minimum. Use the eventboard, the C-Box or the PM system to communicate with each other. The less clutter in the IC threads, the easier they are to follow!
- We don't mind the occasional MINOR NPC in a thread (NPC=non-playable character). An example of what we might allow would be a servant in a castle, or perhaps small characters such as the mermaids from Neverland. (See the {Waking In Neverland} thread for a good example of this!) REMEMBER! NPCing is simply for when you need that little something done in your post. Don't make it a habit. Please feel free to ask the staff if you are unsure of something!

- If you fail to obey the laws we have set for this website, we will be forced to crate you and ship you off to It's A Small World at Walt Disney World, where you will be forced to listen to that lovely song 24/7/365 while performing robotic and repetitive choreography. :) So please, obey our simple laws, and we'll all keep our sanity!
- Banning. It’s not something we generally wish to think about, but we do need consequences in the event that our rules are not followed. You will be given three warnings before having your characters taken from you. We never want to have to do this, however, so please, we ask that you just follow our simple little laws here…we’ll all be so much happier if you do!
