One of the smaller regions in the Pokemon World, Kanto is seen as the center of the Indigo League. It holds several major harbors and is separated by many, many caves. Its largest city is Saffron City, a booming metropolis and home to Silph Co.'s headquarters.

Kanto's sister-region, Johto is the other half of the Indigo League and prizes itself on its ancestry. While Kanto boasts many cities and ports, Johto has only one major city--Goldenrod, its economic center. Its other cities are considerably smaller in comparison. Johto hosts the international Pokeathelon, though, so many people pass through.

A region immersed in the connection between land and sea. Hoenn is home to many sailors and fisherman, all of which keep Hoenn's vibrant economy alive. The land's geography remains one of the most diverse, with vast jungles, a large volcano, ruthless crags, and an arid desert. Exploring Hoenn is treacherous, but rewarding.

A region that values its culture. Sinnoh is home to many legends, as well as the last remnants of the once-glorious Aura Guardians. The region itself is colder than the other regions, and it's not unusual for the natives from Sinnoh to have an immunity to colder climates.

A bustling city of change and progression. With massive cities like Castelia, Opelucid, Driftveil, Nimbasa, and Black City, Unova is easily the largest and most modern region. Businesses prosper in Unova, and the Unovan market is considered to be the biggest playing field for Devon and Silph Co, who are both competing for a top spot in Unova's ever-changing economy.

A rough-and-tumble region far from the others, Orre is a vast desert too harsh for even wild Pokemon to live. Its residents are about as friendly, and some consider them to be xenophobic. It's easily the hardest region to cross alive, and so the residents of Orre have designed some of the most advanced technology just to survive.
