Strangest of Friends, ..........

[Spirit]

I was crouching in the shelter of some bushes a few feet from the path. I had heard some one walking up it. I was in my demon form with one sword drawn. I saw it was a human. Slightly taller than me and pale. I couldn't see much else, becaus it was dark from the thickness of the trees. Before he past I quickly jumped in front of him, sword pointed a few centimeters at his throat. He stopped quickly, slightly surprised. "Give me your Money, HUMAN!" He smiled slighly, then changed before my eyes. He grew Long horns set back on his head, and blueish-grey fur started growing. From this close I could see some tan and green spots on him, though they weren't very visible. I relaxed my arm. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked.

I had changed back to my regular form and had reached toward the hilt of my sword before seeing that it was another demon. "Uh...Hi. I'm called Flaimedre." He looked me over again. "What are you doing here?" He asked, a little commanding it seemed. "Well. I'm actually a bit lost....And tired. I thought maybe if I found a bed or at least a big rock....I'd camp. So....before I fal asleep on the trail, I kinda would like to keep going this direction." as I pointed up the trail.

[Spirit]

I looked at him. He was an odd demon. There was a strange air about him. "You a white demon?" I asked. He nodded. Figures..... I thought. For some reason I couldn't just let him leave my vision. I didn't know why. "Follow me," I said in a commandingly bored voice. "I can show you a place to sleep...." And walked off the path.

[flaimedre]

He turned and walked off the trail and in among the trees. So I followed him. I was tired. He promised sleep. "But I have nothing to give you." I called ahead. He looked back and glared. He was fast. Very fast. After a short time I had to start running on all fours to keep up. He weaved through the trees and brush like an expert....I guess he was.....I kept getting thorns caught in my tail. I was beginning to hope that he actually was going to take me somewhere....

[Spirit]

Suddenly I stopped. Flaimdre ran right into me and I turned and glared at him. Then I walked to a semi-large tree. It looked alot like all the others, large, dead, and covered in vines. I put my paw on it and closed my eyes. The Vines slowly parted and a door was revealed. I opened it and there were stairs leading down. "Go," I said. He walked down and I closed the door. The vines soon closed over the door. As we walked down torches started lighting up and it soon leveled out and led into a small chamber. there was a straw bed in the corner and small stove in another. Flaimdre looked quizically at it. "How does-"
"The smoke leads through a hollow tree. Some one can track the smoke but when they get to the base of the tree they can't see high enough to where the smoke is. Now sleep. We will talk in the morning. And don't catch the bed on fire."

I looked around again. It was small....but warm....and had a fire. I like fire.
I curled up on the straw bed and was asleep in minutes.

I woke up and found myself alone. I didn't want to get up, but dragged myself to my paws and climbed the steps to the surface. I had to push my way through the vines...On the other side, the other demon was waiting for me.

[Spirit]

I pointed to some roast bird on a rock that still had it's feathers in. "Eat," I said. He picked it up and burnt the remains of the feathers off. He then started eating. I have a few questions I want to ask, then it will be your turn. What are you doing here? Where are you from? And where are you going?

[flaimedre]

As I ate, I looked around, and then at the other demon. "Uhh. Well. I'm here because you brought me here.....I uhh. I used to live way up north....somewhere....As for what I'm doing. I just travel around helping anybody I can however I can...don't ask me why though. Now what about you? I know nothing about my host."

[Spirit]

I hesitated. Then said, "I am Spirit. I gave that name to myself sfter my element. I was born in Zenthias to some black demons. As you have probably figured out I am a silver demon. And don't try to convert me."

[flaimedre]

"As you wish" I said, as I settled onto a log. "Its just nice to have another demon to speak with." he nodded, as I took another bite. As I finished eating, I stood and gathered myself. "I thank you much for your hospitality. If there is anything I may do for you, please tell. If not, I should begin on my way again, and owe you a favor when we meet again"

[Spirit]

My ear twitched irratatedly. I hated it when people/demons tryed to say things like that. "I don't want a favor. I'm going with you. I have no place here and I don't like it." I said. he gave a kinda quizzical look.

Its fine with me. I'm allways glad to have a companion. It just seems a bit strange that you would want to travel with me, yet not risk being converted. I'm ready to go when you are.

[Spirit]

"Trust me.... I can't be converted. I'm ready to go. Though I will let you lead."
