Dreamers RP Forum

RP Forum Rules
Sel: There are two set of rules posted here, but only the top one applies in this forum itself. The other set is the official Roleplaying Forum rules in RPGDreamers, and is for reference purposes.

--------------------

1. No flaming. Absolutely no flaming. I would like the community to be relatively peaceful. Strong opinions are allowed, just no personal attacks. Flame and get warned. Warned too many times I'll ban you.

2. Spam is alright, as long as there is some point to your post, I'm fine with it. But flooding is not. If you flood the forum with topics or flood the topics with posts, I'll warn.

3. No plagiarising. Refer to the third rule in the second set below. And no claiming of the works and ideas, basically information, of other people here as your own and post it elsewhere. I swear I'll follow your sorry behind and make sure knows that you're a thief.

--------------------

1. Spamming is heavily discouraged. If you are trying to tell ONE person something, take it to the PM. Posts with one or two lines are alright only for the first time, so put a couple more words and sentences into your OOC posts please. If there are too many short posts, deletion will be in order. Double-posting with reason is allowed in both IC and OOC threads and not counted as spam.

2. Flaming is not tolerated. Flames will be deleted on sight, and if found highly offensive, moderator may consider giving warning points. If you have any particular unhappiness with a roleplay or somebody taking part in it, contact the moderator about it.

3. Plagiarizing is not tolerated. Do not take another person’s idea or work, developed or not, little bit or not, and put it here without giving credits or getting permissions from that person. In simpler words, claiming it as your own. If found out, you will receive a warning immediately. Do it again, the moderator may consider banning you from the roleplay forum.

As for the roleplay itself, if it had already started and is pretty active, the ‘creator’ will have to get permission from the real creator to use it, or it will be closed. If it have not started, it’ll be deleted straight away, unless permission is gotten in time to save it.

4. You have to participate in, and stay with a roleplay until its end before you can post your own. Unless three experienced roleplayers are willing to vouch for you. This is to avoid any potential problems that could result from making roleplays when not knowing how things work here. You cannot create your own roleplay without sending the OOC thread to the moderator for approval. Only when approved can the roleplay be posted.

5. There is no default character limit. However, you are required to have at least two paragraphs of decent length. Use your common sense to judge how much is considered decent length, or ask a fellow roleplay to help with it. Roleplay creators may want to set their own minimum character limit, and roleplayers should comply with it.

6. The roleplays are allowed an inactivity period of two weeks before a warning is given to the roleplay. If there is still no activity after a week, the roleplay will be closed and a new one will be introduced after another week. If the majority of the roleplayers want to revive the closed roleplay with promise of activity before the new one goes up, it can be revived. But otherwise, it is archived for good. Roleplays can also be closed when the creators request for it.

7. The number of roleplays allowed to be active at a time is up to the moderator’s decision. The same goes for the waiting list. Whether or not should the signatures be disabled is up to the roleplay creators to decide. If not decided, roleplayers are allowed to do with their signature as per their wishes. However, roleplayers are advise to keep their signature at reasonable size to prevent extensive scrolling.

8. God-modding, or ubering, is heavily discouraged, unless the roleplay creators specify otherwise. For those who don’t know what god-modding is, it is using extraordinary characters or weapons (items etc) to easily do things that are considered difficult for normal characters or weapons, or simply accomplish impossible tasks like it is nothing.
