Seeing as how Luna Lovegood is cast, as well as several other characters and they're beginning production shortly, I thought I should start a new thread for the next movie.

I think the girl they've cast for Luna looks perfect - let's hope she can act, too. wink.gif I've just found out (I'm slow on the film news stuff ><) who'll be Umbridge - Imelda Staunton, which will be brilliant, because she is a truly superb actress.

I think that Evanna Lynch should be an amazing Luna if she is a good actress! She looks almost how I had always imagined Luna.
I found out on UR *sniffles at the memory of beloved UR* that they are having Cho Chang betray the DA instead of her friend Marietta. mad.gif I wonder if they'll make her get pimples? So long as they don't make Luna do anything like that, I'll survive... laugh.gif
Oh, and the release date for The Order of the Phoenix is the 11th now! *does happy dance* Everyone probably already knows it, but that's ok?

I'm quite excited about the movie. grin.gif

There's a picture here of Luna reading the Quibbler upside down. I can't wait for her scenes in the movie!

I hope I can post this here. I was in the London premiere. Have you been there anybody? I meet only Tom ohmy.gif and Emma happy.gif. And there were screams and screams.
And the little storm was interesting. stretcher.gif But I survived. There was THE atmosphere and I was there. smile.gif

Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the "pond", so I was unable to attend. I did watch the live webcast of it before going to work, though. smile.gif Evanna (Luna) wore the necklace JK Rowling gave her (the hare, which is her patronus as Luna, and the moon). I squealed when I saw that. grin.gif

IŽd like to see it on webcamera, because however I was there I didnŽt see much, I was in the corner. But some girls besides me screamed so much, mayby that was the reason, why there went Tom and Emma. But only them.
I hope, in November 2008, IŽll be more clever, if I have money wacko.gif . Mayby IŽd have to save already now. stretcher.gif
But my journey to London wasnŽt about only HP. I saw Tower Bridge, St. Paul Cathedral, Peter Pan statue and other things. rolleyes.gif

I went and saw the movie a few days after the release. I really really liked it.
QUOTE (spoiler)
I think that the way they cut the sound right after Sirius died was amazing. You could see Harry screaming, but you couldn't hear it. I think it really carried through Harry's devastation.
I was disappointed that there wasn't very much of Draco, but at least there was plenty of Luna!! *loves* I thought Evanna Lynch was just right.

All in all, I congratulate David Yates, he did a good job. I'm glad he's doing the 6th movie too.

You don't need to do the spoiler area anymore for the movie. It's been a month. smile.gif

I was squealing every time Luna was on screen, they kept so much of her in there. Woot! The screenwriter returned Ron's backbone and character to him. I nearly punched the air in celebration when he turned around to the Gryffindor common room and asked if anyone else had any problems with Harry. grin.gif

Sadly the Quibbler interview and the fiasco at Madam Puddifoot's that preceeded it didn't make it, but I think having Cho squeal on the D.A. made Harry more angst-ful. Not that he really needs any help in that department... happy.gif

Has anyone seen the movie since the DVD came out? If so, what were your second/third/fourth impressions?
I really want to see it, but I'm a bit too lazy to go buy it at the moment... happy.gif

Every time I watch it, I wish Goldenburg was back to write the screenplay for movie 6 and 7. He just captured so much of the elements of the book, and didn't get caught up on having all the stupid little episodic crap that didn't matter like Kloves. He said he tried to make the movie seem like all the stuff that happened in the book still went on, and was hinted towards, but that we neither focused on it, or ignored it. Kloves usually ignored it...

I also liked Luna's independance and quiet brilliance as portrayed by Evanna. She really seemed to have understood what Luna was all about. smile.gif Her whole ethereality was captured nicely.

I thought there could have been a few more scenes with the Inquisitorial Squad... like more than just when they got their badges, and when they pulled the sextet into Umbridge's office at the end. Although I did enjoy the bits where Draco, Filch, Crabbe and Goyle were attempting to get into the Room of Requirement. Highly amusing, that was. grin.gif Plus, Draco watching Luna skip down the hallway and go into the room! I kind of sqee-ed in theatres at that. My husband was like this smiley --> eyebrow.gif until I reminded him of my Draco/Luna obsession.
