every university has it's specialty. some are known for their medical programs, others for their history department, but one thing that never made sense to heiress elizabeth devereaux was why a university had to specialize in one field and only have the best in that particular field teaching there. having earned her own teaching credential, elizabeth thought that students should be able to learn from the best in not just that country but the world. with money from her parents, and grants from various companies, elizabeth decided that she was going to make her own university. one that didn't specialize in only one subject but that specialized in all of them and allowed students to learn from the best the world had to offer.

deciding to build her university on a ship, elizabeth is able to dock in cities along the coast for periods of times and her students are able to learn in lectures that are provided from the best in that city/region. of course there are professors on the ship and classes are provided on the ship since only so many lectures are able to be scheduled but elizabeth's dream of having students learn from the best the world has to offer is finally a reality. her ship has finally been built and the first students and faculty have been accepted. all that's left now is to set sail for distant horizons.
