Anderfels
The desolate, Blight-wracked lands of the Anderfels have bred a passionate, hardy people. This nation was where the Grey Wardens originated, and they hold more power here than anywhere else. Almost everyone knows of Weisshaupt fortress, and the now-empty eyries that harbored the famous gryphons.

Antiva
Antiva is known best for its merchants, sailors, bankers, wines, and of course, the Antivan Crows. In Antiva, money controls power, and though there is a king, the nation is actually controlled by merchant-princes, the richest bankers and merchants in the nation.

Free Marches
The Free Marches is a collective name given to a wealthy group of city-states. They are considered the breadbasket of Thedas. On here, this encompasses all cities of the Free Marches, except for Kirkwall.

Nevarra
Originally a part of the Free Marches, Nevarra has grown to the status of a nation -- a powerful one. It has grown in power, and is quickly becoming a threat to rival Orlais. Nevarra is known for its artistry, and for a long line of heroes as well as the growing city of Cumberland. It is ruled by the Pentaghast family.

Orlais
A massive empire, this is the strongest human nation on the continent. Its chevaliers are known and feared all around, and its nobility is massive and participates in what is called "the grand game." It is the center of the Chantry of Andraste and the home of the White Divine. It is rule by Empress Celene I.

Par Vollen
Said to be the origins of humanity, this northern island has been completely assimilated by the Qunari, and is regarded as their homeland. Life centers around Qunandar, with its pyramids, domes, and aqeducts. A mysterious species known as the Fex inhabits Par Vollen; little is known about them.

Rivain
The Rivaini are considered a strange people to the rest of Thedas. They do not follow the Chantry, instead following the Natural Order and placing less restriction on their mages though there are laws, and have even acquired some culture traits of the Qunari. Kont-aar is now a Qunari settlement that peacefully co-exists with the rest of Rivain.

Seheron
Seheron is an island in dispute. Once a prize gem of the Tevinter Imperium, much of it has been leveled as the Tevinter Imperium and Qunari fight over it. To further complicate things, bands of Tal'Vashoth assault both sides.

The Tevinter Imperium
Once a great empire, Tevinter is now a shadow of its former self. It is a magocracy centering on fabled Minrathous. Here, magic is power, and magisters often resort to blood magic. This is the only country where slavery is practiced, and the Imperial Chantry is here. The Tevinter Imperium is reviled by the other nations of Thedas, and is in a war with the Qunari.

WELCOME
Welcome to Dragon Age Origins: The Reckoning. This is a play-by-post roleplay based on the BioWare game, Dragon Age, most specifically revolving around the plot of Dragon Age Origins. This is an alternate universe roleplay. It follows the adventures of the Warden and Hawke through Ferelden as they battle the Blight. It is the brainchild of Lythlyra (Marian).
Both original and canon characters are accepted, but canons are integral. These characters will have their own impact upon the plot and may even change its course. The board and its owners are not affiliated with BioWare or EA Games. Please register under whatever username you would like. The staff will change your username to that of your character once he/she is approved.
