What a shame the ladies team have gone BELLY UP it is not surprising though as i don't think the powers that be could ever be bothered with them.
Sounds like most of them have gone to Upton, well done Crofton Cougars on supporting your ladies  |

Yes we have heard the ladies went to Upton but with only 4 or 5 ladies training it was becoming a farce.
It is not a matter of the powers not supporting them, it was a question of numbers and rumours being spread by one of the ladies who would cancell training for a few and let the rest turn up, demoralising them. I would like to wish them all the best and hope that they have been able to recuite new players from Upton to help them out. |

pete was a good coach for the ladies and he tryed his best with us, i liked it at crofton because everyone was nice and frendly our problem there was 1 girl who kept telling us we were starting back up again and when we went up to club she never turned up to tell us what was going on we were told that the club was closing she caused a lot of friction between us all, and some girls wasnt interested in playing any more, i would like to see a ladies team at crofton but u cant get any commitment from them and thats even at upton they just dont turn up for training and its not fare for the girls who want to play the game.

Cheers Ruth it's nice to hear the frustration from someone that was involved and that it is not just a Crofton thing that makes getting numbers hard.
