Investigation Is Key

While Dean had been off playing grabe ass with Amelia Sam decided to do a little more digging into the history of the town. He put on the suit that he normally wore to look like an FBI agent. Made sure that he had his identification in his pocket, because it never failed when people would ask for him and Dean to prove that they were agents of the government. Okay so it was a lie, but how else were they supposed to do their thankless jobs without them?

As usual he had to flash his fake badge at the guard behind the desk before the guy would even let him step foot in the building. But once the guard was convinced the guy seemed a little more cooperative. "Where do you keep old case files?" The guy was a little leary about telling him that much was for certain judging by the look on his face. "Down the end of the hall and last door on the right," he said in a weary voice. "Thanks."

Sam headed back into the room and found rows of old boxes. Letting out a sigh Sam loosened his tie a bit with his fingers. This was going to take a while. Sam walked down the rows of boxes, starting with the box that was dated in the 1950's. Taking the box to the empty desk in the room he started to file through the paper work and looking at various pictures and reports there seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary. At least that was until he found one about a woman who claimed that she had been attacked by a creature that was half man and half beast.

The pictures of the wounds looked as it if could possibly be a werewolf. But seeing the pictures of some of the unfortunate victims only confirmed his fear. If the angel had been right in telling him that Amelia was in fact a werewolf, then he and Dean would have to end her. Damn! Why did some of the deadly ones have to be good people?

Bobby had gotten a text from the boys earlier that day letting them both know where they were. Apparently Sam was off by himself again which didnt surprise Bobby. Lately it seemed that Dean was giving it a little more of a do as you please when it came to this end of the world problems as they continue building for all of them. But he really couldnt blame them for wanting to take a break but when there was work, there was work and Sam was investigating a werewolf attack from what Bobby had received as far as information.

Deciding to join Sam even if he wasnt as useful with the legs as he had wished. He still was one to help with research. He wheeled himself in front of the man sitting in the front, spitting off how the man was biased that he was crippled and that his partner was in the back. Being able to describe Sam down to what he was wearing was enough proof that Bobby was with him even with a flash of his badge. Lets just say that guard got a piece of Bobbys mind about being biased against crippled agents. Bobby knew how to work his tongue to get him anywhere he needed to be, even if he was crippled.

Wheeling himself down the hallway he came to the room where the guard had told him Sam was located. Wheeling in front of the door he opened it and wheeled himself in. His eyes caught sight of Sam and he wheeled himself forward towards Sam and the boxes, seeing Sam's expression made Bobbies eyes narrow. "Well boy, what did you find?" Bobby asked him curiously.

Sam had always felt guilty that Bobby couldn't walk. Hell when he and Dean were at the house with him they tried to make it easier on Bobby by picking up after themselves and placing things in the lower cabinets so at least things were within easy reach. He had also been helping them out as much as he could. Just because he couldn't walk didn't mean he couldn't help research things with them, hell Bobby was still an important asset to them. He had been in this life a lot longer than him and Dean, so his knowledge was definately needed.

But right now if there was one thing that Sam was feeling it was worry. The full moon was coming and what if Dean wouldn't be able to stop Amelia? She would only kill again. Sam glanced up and saw Bobby wheeling himself into the room with him. "Hey Bobby," Sam said and placed a folder down on the end of the table for him to read.

"Last month about seven people were found dead in the woods. Police are saying that it looks like it was a wolf attack. So I'm thinking werewolf. Most of these bodies were found the morning after the full moon." But of course there was a little more to it than that, though he was not going to tell Bobby if he did not have to. "All the victims have claw and bite marks on their bodies."

Bobby listened as he picked up the folder and began reading the newspaper clippings, and the information Sam had collected while shifting through the files. Sam was right, it did look as though it was a werewolf, but Bobby still kept on guard, you never know how many werewolves were around. From experience there were always more than expected in one area. At least two. Nodding he sat the file down and looked upward towards Sam, folding his hands in his lap.

"Have their been any survivors we could talk to?" Bobby asked curiously. He knew if they could catch one survivor find out if they remember what happened. They would have to kill the person but maybe find out where the current location for more attacks were. If it was just in one main area. "Well Boy, looks like we are huntin ourselves a werewolf." Bobby said with an obvious tone.

This only brought back the memory of the little boy he had interviewed just before the hospital blew up just because some angel wanted to get his attetion because he was to be Lucifer's vessel. Sam swallowed the lump that was building in his throat and looked to Bobby, trying to hide the sadness in his eyes. This only seemed to add more onto the weight that was already on his shoulders.

"Yeah one. A little boy about ten years old. Was out camping with his dad, when the wolf attacked. The most the boy ever saw was a shadow, he was hurt, a little scratched but he couldn't exactly see what it was." Then he lowered his eyes to the paper work on the desk. "The second I stepped out of the hospital, the hospital blew up. Then an angel by the name of Gavri'el told me that I should watch what I say and promise. All because I told the boy that everything would be fine."

He swallowed the lump again. There was no point in shedding tears over something he couldn't do anything about. "Then the angel told me something that I didn't want to believe it. The girl that Dean has been seeing during our stay here, she is a werewolf."

Bobby watched as Sam spoke about the boy. Bobby could tell something was laying heavy on Sam's conscience and that he needed to let it out. Bobby knew this job wasnt any walks in the park or trips to the candy store to stock up on sweets for your sweet tooth. It was all about stocking up on the knowledge and amo to be able to kill these evil bitches and then when it came time that walk in the park was putting a bullet or ganking them with salt to end them, and when it came time to knock a demon down and back into hells flames that was their trip to the candy store to suffice their sweet tooth. Bobby knew this world was sick and twisted and Sam and Dean were smack dab in the middle of it.

But as Sam spoke, the information Bobby knew was coming finally hit the fan and made Bobby lean as forward as he could without falling out of his chair due to his paralyzed clumsiness. Grinding his teeth and a twitch of his upper lip proved to anyone that was looking at Bobby that he was beyond pissed. He was damn well hell bent on getting his hands on that Angel and sending his glowing ass straight back up to heavens door. And gripping the side of his wheel chair arm rests were making his knuckles a shade of red. "I am damn well done with those Angels. We need our hands on one of those Angel swords, I think we could do for sendin them a message and screwing with their plans." Bobby said listening to the information that the Angel had given Sam.

Bobbys eyes grew darker, sterner as he tensed his lips in anger. "We better damn well get to him now. Theres a full moon right around the corner. And your brother aint going to be dog food...how did he end up with the she wolf anyway? Ain't supernatural women your territory?" Bobby asked curiously with a raised brow. He could never figure them out, when you think you had they just kept on surprising you.

Sam looked up at Bobby at his little comment about Sam's track record with women in the past since Jessica. First his mother died because she was trying to protect him, Jessica because she loved him. Lisa was another girl he fell for and she happened to be a werewolf. But that was another hard part, he opened himself up too easily, and they all wound up dead. It was hard for him to pull the trigger on Lisa, even when she begged for him to kill her so that she wouldnt hurt anyone. Lisa was beautiful and nice, Amelia was no different, Sam couldnt just see her as a killer.

"This is all that there is left. I want you to do it, I can't live like this. This is the only way for you to save me. Please.. I am asking you to save me." he remembered hearing from Lisa. The last thing she had said before he put a bullet through her skull. To this day it still haunted him. Sam could only hope that Dean would not have to do the same to Amelia.

Sam shook his head and slammed the file down on the table in front of him. "Thank you for the reminder Bobby." Then he stood up, Sam almost towering over Bobby since he was in the chair. "But I don't think I can kill her like I did Lisa. I mean we don't know the whole story or if there are more werewolves than just Amelia. I think its best if we just wait and find out to see how many there are. I don't want Dean to have to go through the same thing with Amelia, like I did with Lisa." Of course Bobby had heard that story before.

Bobby could tell the comment had stung Sam more than he would have liked, trying to lighten the situation had only dimmed it more. With a sigh Bobbys eyes kept a stern attitude about them and his voice didnt let up on the hold it had on the deeper set of vocal chords. "Sam, I didnt say we had to kill her right off. Thats a last minute situation and you know it. We still have to get to Dean before she turns, and hes right in the middle of it. We dont always carry our guns loaded with silver bullets, aint exactly prepared and knowing what hes up against." Bobby said making his point.

softening his eyes at Sams last comment he nodded. His boys had been through to much as it is, finding companions one a few occasions was something they deserved. Bobby leaned back, nodding as Sam spoke. "We need to get there, warn him. Then we will decide what needs to be done, she might not even know what shes doing." Bobby said, remembering the story completely of how Lisa was. She had no recollection of being the wolf.

"But what if it is not her Bobby? What if it is someone else? You know that we can not just leave her running around free. Dean is already attached to her that is why we have been here a little bit longer than a just a few days like any other jobs. I guess you could say he has an infatuation with her." Sam shook his head. He honestly didn't want Dean to go through this.

"She reminds me of Lisa. But of course you know how that ended. This girl is well known in this community because of the bed and breakfast she runs. I just don't want to see someone else get hurt. But I guess if it is her we have no choice. But what if it's someone else?"

Bobby knew Sam was right. They needed more information on the girl and how she worked. And they needed more connections in the killings as well. Even as a werewolf they usually attacked people that wronged them first. But depending on how many animal attacks that had been in this area would determine the radius of how far the wolf would go. Bobby nodded and agreed to give it a chance.

"Alright Sam. We need more information before we start shootin her with silver bullets, I know that. But we have to let Dean know he could be sleeping with a werewolf. And we need to keep an eye on her. See if she goes off in the middle of the night. Full moons comin up soon, theres no telling what will happen if Deans in bed with her when she turns. She could tare him to shreds." Bobby said in warning and concern.
