With the return of Lord Voldemort, dark clouds gather on the horizon. There is a war coming and no one wants to believe it; except those who are witnessing it first hand. The death toll of Muggles is rising and the Minister of Magic can't look the other way anymore. It is time to unite the Muggle world and the Wizarding world. But even this brings about problems. There are people for Unification, people against Unification, people who believe You-Know-Who is back, people who don't. In all of this, students from Hogwarts are preparing for the war of their lives - as they are at the forefront of the battle.

Colloportus Totalus is an intermediate to advanced alternate universe Potter era Harry Potter RPG. We have no word count, though we ask that you match whatever your posting partner is giving you. We welcome everyone who loves Harry Potter and encourage emphasis on writing as opposed to graphics and post templates. We are rated R for violence, cursing, and sexual themes.
Everything about HP goes to JKR, of course. Without her wonderful vision, there would be nothing to role play. The graphics go to their makers. The writings go to their authors. The banner up top goes to a dear friend of mine. Everything belongs to their rightful owners.

It is currently Start of Term 1996 at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The sun is still warming the grounds and you can generally get by with a t shirt and jeans - but shorts and tank tops are too little now. The castle has windows wide open to let in cool breezes and has been in preparations for the arrival of students for weeks.

gryffindor common room
Located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady, Gryffindor's Common Room is on the seventh floor. The common room is full of comfortable arm chairs, couches, and tables. There is a bulletin board where school notices are posted from the Prefects, Head of House, and Headmaster. Scarlet tapestries hang from the walls that depict witches, wizards, and various animals. Two doors leading out of the common room show two spiral staircases; these lead up to the dorms.

ravenclaw common room
Located on the west side of Hogwarts castle, the Ravenclaw Common Room is in a tower much like the Gryffindor Common Room. A riddle must be answered in order to gain entry. The common room is airy, circular, and wide open. There is midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with soft blue silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. Two doors leading out of the common room show two spiral staircases; these lead up to the dorms.

hufflepuff common room
Located behind a still life portrait next to the kitchens, the Hufflepuff Common Room is in the cellar. The common room is adorned with overstuffed arm chairs, yellow hangings, and perfectly round doors. It has an incredibly warm and inviting, cozy, atmosphere about it. Two round doors leading out of the common room into tiny underground tunnels; these lead up to the dorms.

slytherin common room
Located behind a wall in the cellar, Slytherin Common Room is known to be in the dungeon beneath the Great Lake. The common room is full of low backed, black and dark green leather sofas with buttons, skulls, and dark wood cupboards. There are two doors that lead to dark hallways; this goes into the dorms. It has a grand and majestic, yet cold and spooky, atmosphere.
