With the return of Lord Voldemort, dark clouds gather on the horizon. There is a war coming and no one wants to believe it; except those who are witnessing it first hand. The death toll of Muggles is rising and the Minister of Magic can't look the other way anymore. It is time to unite the Muggle world and the Wizarding world. But even this brings about problems. There are people for Unification, people against Unification, people who believe You-Know-Who is back, people who don't. In all of this, students from Hogwarts are preparing for the war of their lives - as they are at the forefront of the battle.

Colloportus Totalus is an intermediate to advanced alternate universe Potter era Harry Potter RPG. We have no word count, though we ask that you match whatever your posting partner is giving you. We welcome everyone who loves Harry Potter and encourage emphasis on writing as opposed to graphics and post templates. We are rated R for violence, cursing, and sexual themes.
Everything about HP goes to JKR, of course. Without her wonderful vision, there would be nothing to role play. The graphics go to their makers. The writings go to their authors. The banner up top goes to a dear friend of mine. Everything belongs to their rightful owners.

It is currently Start of Term 1996 at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The sun is still warming the grounds and you can generally get by with a t shirt and jeans - but shorts and tank tops are too little now. The castle has windows wide open to let in cool breezes and has been in preparations for the arrival of students for weeks.

hogwarts castle
With many towers and turrets, the castle of Hogwarts is expansive and holds many unknown corridors, rooms, and mysteries. To muggles, the castle looks like ruins, but to wizards and witches alike - it is the complete opposite. Magical and majestic, the Hogwarts castle is their home. It is one of the safest, if not the safest, places in the Wizarding world.

classrooms
The classrooms themselves are usually incredible. Depending on the professor, the classrooms can be extravagant or lifeless. Many students are often seen in the classrooms after class has been dismissed, either to get some extra help, for detention, or just because.

common rooms
The Common Rooms hold the dormitories for the students at Hogwarts. Each one is password protected and only students of that particular House can gain access to it. It isn't unheard for students to bring other Housemates into the common room, but it is frowned upon. These are meant to serve as a place to get away from the rest of the school and studying; although most students study in the Common Room as well.

hogwarts grounds
The grounds of Hogwarts are expansive and mysterious. With rolling hills, rocky cliffs, and a lake the grounds are beautiful, majestic, and they have history. Students can be seen lounging around on the nice spring days or having snowball fights in the middle of winter.

hogsmeade
The only all-wizarding village in Britain, Hogsmeade is a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays. There are plenty of shops and places to visit while in Hogsmeade. Students third year and above with a permission form may attend Hogsmeade on weekends.

diagon alley
Diagon Alley is a cobbled wizarding alley and shopping area located in London, England behind the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. All items on the Hogwarts supply list can be bought at Diagon Alley. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries. It is very large in area and essentially the centre of wizarding London.

the ministry of magic
The Ministry of Magic is a vast underground community where all Laws and Magical responsibilities are thought of and enforced. There are 10 levels at the Ministry of Magic and each level has it's own way of working. The MoM has some corruption within its walls, but no one can really tell where it comes from.

st. mungo's hospital for magical maladies and injuries
St. Mungo's is a very large hospital that serves all of the Great Britain wizarding world. The entrance to it is hard to find unless you knew where to go. There are five floors in St. Mungo's, each separated into different types of injuries. Visitors are allowed, but it isn't a lax security place.

azkaban
Azkaban is located on a small island in the middle of the icy waters of the North Sea. It's guarded by Dementors, and is nearly impossible to escape from. It is not a cheerful place and in fact is one of the greatest fears for wizards and witches who contemplate or take part in illegal things.
