The Major Story Arcs, A history of everything significant

It all started when some bored freak on 4chan's /vp/ decided to start a thread with a picture of Simisear and the text "Hey guyth I jutht got my nailth done!!!" This led to an amusing thread full of various Pokemon monkeys, all talking about... Whatever. And then this led to another thread, and another, and another. The original poster never appeared again, but we're probably assuming he's wondered what sort of monstrosity he has unleashed.

The first few threads were just insanity, mostly involving Cynthia's loli hunting, Turner's attempts at keeping everything sane, and the woes of having no thumbs. Also, Jerry Springer. Even the canon sheet barely made any sense. But in the chaos, a Watchog's modest coffee shop took off.

One night, in the nightly "RPFag General", a Marshtomp decided to go off and kill Cynthia. Cynthia's Garchomp, being the bouncer's girlfriend, was there, and of course she responded by not wanting such a thing to happen. This led to a fight, which caused Garchomp to end up dying. With Garchomp blood on the floor, one would think there would be a mess. But then, a strange abomination woke up in the basement.

This abomination, Gaavalew, was just the beginning...

THE REMY ARC

In a Nutshell:

• Nied's father, Remy Niederactus, is the leader of the Desert Resort. He needs a female Maractus to continue the lines, but there are none in the Desert Resort. He comes back to get Nied.
• Turner the Slakoth had fallen in love with Licensed Psychologist Niederactus. Remy's appearance pretty much fucked him over.
• Nied decides to leave with Remy.
• Turner drags half the coffee shop to the desert to get Nied back.
• Eventually Turner succeeds, and they lived happily ever after. Sort of.
• This was the first major arc in the RP.

THE GAAVLAEW ARC

In a Nutshell:

• There is some creepy ominous shit in the basement of Watchog's shop.
• Oh, hey, it's a giant monster who can destroy the world.
• Watchog only has thirty days to live. He has to find a way to stop this monster before it kills him.
• Giratina appears and states that not only is Watchog going to die, but OH SHIT, the world is going to end!
• Watchog goes back in time with Celebi to get the knowledge necessary to defeat Gaavlaew.
• Finally, the Lovecraftian horror appears. Everyone fights Gaavshit, all hope seems lost, when--
• Watchog comes through time, shoves a magic dingus in Gaavlaew's eye, and suddenly we are saved.
• We all live happily ever after...?

Some More Detail:

Gaavlaew has long been an engima. No one knows exactly what he is, or why he was in the basement of Watchog's coffee shop (or if Gaalvew is even a "he" at all), but one thing was for certain. Whenever Gaavlaew stirred, chaos ran free.

Gaavlaew first attacked as a result of the bloodshed caused by a battle between Garchomp and some dumbass mudkip (some say the mudkip won, but this is clearly the ramblings of a lunatic). During the fight, Gaalvaew was awakened by the bloodshed, and the entire coffee shop came in a united effort to quell his rage. Only the arrival of the shiny kirlia, Louhi, calmed him down.

Afterwards, however, Caleb Watchog discovered that his days were numbered. Trixie, a gothitelle, determined that he would die in 31 days as a result of Gaavlaew's awakening. Although he did not care much if he died, he did not want the rest of the coffee shop to die along with him. Therefore, he made plans to find a way to stop Gaavlaew, coming across the Chest of Eternity and the Soul Urn in the process. Days before the appointed time, however, disaster struck, as Caleb was stranded in space and time by a renegade Celebi.

Despite Caleb's disappearance, the rest of the coffee shop regulars prepared for battle with Gaavlaew anyway. Gaalvaew did indeed awaken at the appointed time, and proved even more powerful than before. The battle seemed hopeless until Caleb, riding on the back of a young Arceus, returned to settle his war with Gaavlaew. Using a newly crafted Soul Urn, Caleb defeated the abomination once and for all.

The battle, however, was not without casualties, and Zekiel Vargas and Caleb himself would have been among them, had Ho-oh not made a timely intervention. With the threat gone, the coffee shop was rebuilt, and things went back to normal.

However, now Caleb is discovering that when you kill an elder god, there are certain consequences...

THE ROCKET ARC

In a Nutshell:

• The day before the world is supposed to end, Maxie has a meeting with Proton. They discuss business like grown men.
• By that, I mean Proton beats Maxie up, dangles him out a window, and tells him to give Rocket control of Magma International, or else BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. Maxie responds by kicking Proton in the face and flying, while bleeding, across a single route to pass out in front of Archie.
• I'm pretty sure no one read that event, but you can read the entire thing here.
• Proton and Archer about beating Archie for information once Maxie goes AWOL. Oh, and Archie stole Proton's briefcase, which is NOT OKAY with Proton's rules.
• Maxie gets the briefcase and discovers a letter detailing a "favorite redhead."
• This is the last time you will ever see Maxie and Archie play a major in this plot, despite it being intended as a Magma plot.
• Enter Silver de Luca, son of Giovanni. Silver tries, and fails, to overthrow Rocket using the Gold Method and thus resorts to being the Reverse Mole.
• Complication: Silver's starting to get feelings for a girl named Madison. Archer and Cyrus are brothers. Cyrus is becoming a god, a la the Galactic Arc. Archer has to beat Cyrus at everything. Galactic becomes Rocket's main priority. Madison is a part of Galactic. Silver, being a two-timing snake who wants Archer's trust, does what he must.
• ONE VICIOUS BETRAYAL AND BRUTAL TORTURE SCENE LATER, Silver's had enough of Archer's shit. Silver decides to overthrow Archer, and succeeds.
• Cue a few scenes of "you are becoming your father".
• Silver meets up with Jessica Lancaster, Luxray Interpol Agent, and the two form an alliance. Using his position as the Head of Team Rocket, Silver sets up a glorious plan to eliminate Rocket from the earth.
• Magma Tournament happens, but no one cares about Magma. Rocket dies like a bunch of bitches. Silver goes home victorious, has a few drinks, and has a victory screw with Maddie.
• ...Except not really, Proton knifes him in the back, and we all have an emotional moment as the main hero of the plot slowly dies of blood loss. Read it all here.
• But hey, at least Team Rocket's gone! Or... Is it?
• This was the last plot to begin and end on 4chan.

THE GALACTIC ARC

In a Nutshell:

• Sometime during the Rocket Arc, Arceus's plates all decide that Arceus is a crappy god and bail on him. Everyone makes a scramble for the plates.
• Plate drama, plate drama, plate drama.
• Basically, a few factions crop up: Rocket, which is just after stopping Galactic for glory because Archer and Cyrus have to have pissing contests about everything; Cafe Force, which just want the plates to be put away and never used again; Don Alvisio's Mafia, which is just after the plates for power and money and other Don-related reasons; Team Giratina, which is all the people (including Arceus) who SOMEHOW think that Giratina is a GREAT option, guys, let's give them to her; and Team Galactic, who is basically four people trying to turn Cyrus into a god.
• Oh, yeah, and there's also Ghetsis, who claims to work for Cyrus but that's a wonderful lie.
• Cyrus somehow manages to get all the plates but one.
• Plasma turns on Galactic, resulting in a fight between N's ax-crazy personality, Nexus Dischordia, and Cyrus the near-god. Unfortunately, the fabled Nexus-versus-Dread-Cyrus did not happen. BUT ONE DAY.
• Currently in-progress.

THE AQUA ARC

In a Nutshell:

• Somewhere in the plate drama, Maxie acquires the Earth Plate. After a miniature breakdown, Maxie ends up repaying Archie by giving him the Earth Plate. Before you ask, yes, they were both ridiculously high at the time.
• Steven Stone, resident asshole and God of Space, is given the Red Orb by a walking dildo Everett the Xatu. Archie tells Steven a bunch of crap that Steven, in his vulnerable state, takes a bit too harshly. He then trades the Red Orb for the Earth Plate.
• Archie is then forced under the influence of the Red Orb, where he goes crazy and collects a ridiculous amount of legendaries: Mew, Jirachi, Shaye the Shaymin, Regigigas, Suicune (somewhere, Eusine is crying bitch tears), Kyogre, and Groudon.
• With this power, Archie decides to do the only reasonable thing: show up and beat Magma to the ground.
• There was also some side-plot within the plot with a Capulet and Montague couple, a master of disguise, and Team Plasma.
• Archie proceeds to grind Castelia to a pulp, turning the grand port city into a no-man's land. Read the entire thing here. It includes the most BADASS fight EVER: Archie and Maxie, dueling to the death atop the back of Regigigas. Oh god hnnng.
• Oh, yeah, and Collum rides in on Kiaste, saving the day and summoning Rayquaza. Also, he kicks Kyogre and Groudon in the face. Okay, not really, but he should have. Fuck yes Collum.
• In the end, Archie saves his ass by making a wish on Jirachi. Eveyone in the RP instantly starts blaming Shelley for the entire incident, and Shelley dies in place of Archie. All the legendaries but Suicune (who is still in the hands of an Aqua grunt) and Mew (who was rescued by Lenny the Scrafty and never released) were released.
• This was the first major plot to happen after our move from 4chan to the Forums.

THE MAGMA ARC ONGOING SIDE PLOT

In a Nutshell:

• Maxie is a good guy. Really. He's started fresh and decided to start Magma International, a successful megacorp with tournaments, Pokeballs, and cute new Eeveelutions that are TOTALLY NOT BROKEN GUYS.
• No, really, nothing shady here.
• Nothing shady at all. Yeah, sure, Tabitha's shanked a few people, but hey, Tabitha's fired.
• And the corruption was just Rocket infiltration. Really. Maxie's honest. 100% honest, and a hero to the people, beloved by all.
• Ignore the genetic monstrosities, the broken families, and the mafia ties. They don't exist.
• Experiment 19? What?
• Also, you cannot be important in Magma and still be sane.
• Unless your name is Maxie.
• And that's debatable.
• Wait, I mean, of course he's sane. He's the great Maximilian Reid. Nothing can go wrong.
