Unconventional conventional Fantasy OCC Thread, Isn't the OOC part kind of obvious?

This is my first characters bio. I may add other characters latter but for now this is it.

Even if it's a little cliche, I've always wanted to do a character like this. XD

Name: Nera
Gender: Female
Species: Gnome
Age: around 54 in human years

Appearance: She is a short, plump, matronly figure, about 3'5'' tall. She has a chubby heart-shaped face that sports square wire-framed glasses that rest on her petite upturned nose and frizzy red hair that usually hangs in a braid down her back. She prefers to wear loose fitting homespun dresses with a half-apron and an old style bonnet.

Personality: She is motherly and fiercely protective. She always stands ramrod straight and has a tendency to look down here nose at people who displease her, even if they are considerably taller. She carries a broom around with her that she uses to beat sense into her fellow gnomes. She is a firm believer in self-worth and considers all the gnomes to be misbehaving children who it’s her job to straighten out. She has a gentle nature but fierce nature and once she’s mad everyone best beware.

History: Nera was widowed 14 years ago without ever having children. After her husband died from kidney failure due to too much alcohol, she began a personal campaign to straighten out gnome society. She joined the city council and speaks firmly on the need for prohibition whenever the other gnome citizens are sober enough to have a meeting.
She spends most of her time chasing after one wayward gnome or another, broom in hand, ready to rap some sense into them. Her favorite targets are the children and teenagers since she figures the adults are too far-gone to reform. She spends most of her remaining time serving as the gnome midwife and healer. Even then, her trusty broom is never out of reach should she discover a miscreant in need of a lesson.
