[doHtml]
Every soul, man or beast, good or evil has heard of the great fortress Xyth. Walls like mountain sides, towers that reach to the heavens, storage chambers that can feed a nation, and a gate that the Gods themselves can not enter. Xyth, The Great Fortress, a last standing tribute to a great nation lost long ago. It was lost to rumour, it's location forgotten. Now remembered and found.
The Great Emperor Ymimerel, ruler of the Zerxis Empire, was the one that started the search. He sent armies far and wide, looking for the lost artefact. It took the man his entire life to find it but it is now found. It's towering splendour was hidden in the greatest place, the High Mountains. It overlooks the lands all the way out to the eastern seas. It is the greatest thing one could over claim and Ymimerel is happy to be the one to do so. Only one thing stands in his way. The Three Shadows. The fortress already has men at it's walls, men to defend it and to a great king; the worst possible kind. Great Xyth, it seems is ruled by the thieves. Assassins, Thieves and Mercenaries - who bend to no-one's command but their own - have claimed it already, and refuse to hand it over to the Zerxis Empire.
Now the armies of Zerxis all march to Xyth to claim it for their emperor but the fortress is as great as it was said to be. The walls are mountains, the towers do reach into the heavens, the storage chambers are full and the gate is thick and now to top it off the only path to it is so small that only a small group of men can fit into it at a time. Even an army of thieves can defend this and defend it they do. The battle has begun. Which side will you fight for?
[/doHtml]
