EXTRA INFORMATION: WEYLAND INDUSTRIES
user posted image

At Weyland Industries we apply science, technology and our unparalleled global network of resources to the pursuit of Building Better Worlds.

Every day, Weyland biologists, military scientists, chemical engineers, geologists, mechanics, pilots and more work across our solar system to advance human interests and life. As they labor, new planets, natural resources, industries, modes of transportation and medical advancements emerge and evolve before our eyes.

As the largest company on the planet, we have taken it upon ourselves to constantly explore, expand and discover what lies beyond our own heavens.

Fifty years ago, our founder Sir Peter Weyland set out to change the world. Now, the company he created so many years ago works tirelessly with the same unlimited ambition to improve the world he changed.

Worlds have risen and worlds have fallen. That’s why at Weyland Industries we’re in the business of Building Better Worlds.

EXTRA INFORMATION: NIGHTINGALE COLONY
user posted image

The Nightingale Colony is one of the most recently terraformed planets. It was named after Theodore Nightingale, in memory of the lead geologist who was tragically killed in the initial exploration of the planet. While much of the planet is still under construction, The Nightingale Colony is one of the more promising colonies as of late and has been modeled closely after Earth. It has developed a reputation as one of the wealthier colonies, especially since those who can afford it are quickly leaving the Angkor Colony and moving into Nightingale instead.

LOCATIONS

  • Loading Docks
The standard loading docks. Refuel your ship and stretch your legs here.
  • City Center
This is where all the businesses and shops are located. The elitist nature os Nightingale shines in its pristine streets and overpriced merchandise.
  • Residences
Whether you're located in a tower in the city center of a townhouse on the fridges of the city, you can expect a good neighborhood and state-of-the-art technology.
  • Medical Center
While each colony has its own medical base, Hera is known specifically for it's professional medical center filled with top-dollar scientists. If you have a medical emergency, you want to be within arms reach of this center.
  • Junkyard
Since a lot of Hera is still under construction, there are small pockets where more unsavory folk can slip through. Hera's trash is another colony's treasure and the junkyards are often pilfered by scavengers.

EXTRA INFORMATION: HERA CITY
user posted image

Since being terraformed in 2057, Hera City has become the agricultural hub of the solar systems. The genetically engineered farms supply all of the inner colonies with 22% of their food requirements. The foods are all simulated to look and taste like earth foods, even though most of them come from carefully groomed farms and test tubes. Hera City also serves as a drop point for most ships to restock and refuel before they move on.

LOCATIONS

  • Loading Docks
The standard loading docks. Refuel your ship and stretch your legs here.
  • Trade Center
This is the official trading center and marketplace. You can come here when you're mid-flight and need a couple simple items to get you going. It's often stocked with Weyland Industries supplies.
  • Laboratory
While Hera is an agricultural planet, the majority of the real "farm work" starts here. This is where scientists specialized in genetically modified foods work their magic to create passable plant seeds.
  • Fields
Thanks to the miracle of terraforming, Hera is littered with plenty of genetically modified planets that need a constant tending to. Since Hera is such a big hub for inner colony food, the farmers work hard hours to keep everything up to grade.

EXTRA INFORMATION: MAY OUTPOST
user posted image

Despite being an mainly uninhabitable, small, red planet, the May Outpost is one of the more dense planets. It is a key security outpost that is stocked with a full battalion of marines. Their main objective is security as the May Outpost carries not only a full supply of weaponry but also state-of-the-art technologies and electronics. The May Outpost is, for the most part, closed to average citizens and open only to military and government officials.

LOCATIONS

  • Loading Docks
The standard loading docks. Refuel your ship and stretch your legs here.
  • Central Operations
Since most of the May Outpost is mainly uninhabitable, the people who do spend time here have to navigate through the maze of corridors and rooms. Essentially, May Outpost is a very large ship attached to the surface of the planet. The Central Operations contains everything from meeting rooms to dinning halls to bars.
  • Training Centers
This is a place frequented both by new and old soldiers. The recent recruits are sent here to get immediate training while the hardened veterans use this space to keep in shape. After all, you can only run circles down the halls so many times.
  • Bunks
No one said anything about military life being comfy. The bunks are separated by gender. The lower grade soldiers share rooms with double-bunks while the higher-up officers get their own spaces. Each bunk has little more than a cot and a closet.
  • Vault
The vaults are the most important assents on May Outpost. They contain the most important advances in technology and electronics. There are rumors that evidence of alien life forms also exist behind these vaults. Don't bother asking the soldiers--they may stand outside the doors, but only the head officers have even the slightest clue what's inside of them

EXTRA INFORMATION: ANGKOR COLONY
user posted image

The Angkor Colony was one of the first colonies structured specifically for human life. The reason is simple: the massive titanium resourcing lying underneath the surface of the planet. Workers were shipped up to Angkor to mine the precious resources. Since then, Angkor has become one of the more highly populated colonies. However, in the past few months, a foreign, deadly disease has been plaguing the citizens of Angkor and spreading quickly. While the military and government have been doing their best to keep the details of the disease under wraps to avoid a wide-spread panic, those who can afford it have been relocating to the Nightingale Colony.

LOCATIONS

  • Loading Docks
The standard loading docks. Refuel your ship and stretch your legs here.
  • City Center
Find everything here from business places to shopping centers. All dirt cheap and most of it repurposed scrap metal from Hera. The city center is always bustling with people who seem to be in a constant hurry to get anywhere but here.
  • Residences
Angkor's residences generally range from seedy slums to survivable conditions. They're not the best looking houses on the market, mainly with outdated technology, but they're still standing and that's what counts, right?
  • Black Market
Every solar system needs a little variety. Which is where Angkor comes in. You can generally find anything you want in Angkor's black market...you just have to be willing to pay a price that might be more than the coins in your pocket.
  • Mining Grounds
Angkor is a mining colony and the majority of the planet is steeped in mining grounds. It's hard, manual labor but it gets the job done and keeps most of the mouths in Angkor fed.
