Big Things Have Small Beginnings is a neo-noir scifi RPG, based on the works of Ridley Scott (think: the brilliant mind behind the films Alien, Blade Runner, and Prometheus). We're set in the year 2093, thirty years before Ripley's ship took off. Weyland Industries, the face of new technology and advanced space travel, funded Project Prometheus. They set out to discovered the origins of mankind...and found so much more. Mankind is now reeling with the new discovery. Meanwhile, infections are spreading in other colonies, the military outpost is training in the event of an alien attack, and rescue ships have been sent out to find Prometheus. The space race is over; now, it's a race for survival.

Charlie is currently part of a two-person scientist team on Prometheus. After getting infected by some alien virus, he was subdued and subsequently quarantined. He has since managed to flush the alien virus out of his system...at least, so the lab results say. He has yet to truly believe that the virus has completely left him. As of now, he's recovering on Prometheus and eager to continue the search for his origins.
FRIENDS: If you can get along with Charlie at his most thick-headed, he makes a loyal friend. He's generally a good guy to have around for drinks and a fun time. One thing's for sure: you'll always get a healthy dose of excitement. He doesn't have a lot of patience for bullshit, however, so he'll probably most likely befriend those who can afford to let loose a little.
ENEMIES: As with most stubborn bastards, Charlie is bound to make an enemy or two. Especially since he's not always very tactful and has a bad habit of saying exactly what's on his mind at all times.
LOVERS: Ellie is his girl. His soulmate. I'm not a big fan of "sexual tension" and all that jazz (unless it's with Ellie, of course), so past lovers or flings may not apply.

So! Someone had to mix up the drugs and help run the tests on that there alien infection - maybe more than one person - and I imagine Jin was one of them. He's probably seriously skeptical about Charlie's 'recovery', and would lean towards keeping him on indefinite quarantine (whether or not he gets his way.)
I imagine there's some philosophical tension between them, as Jin is a guy who could care less about his origins, and probably thinks that Charlie's insane for almost dying and still wanting to know. In fact, he probably blames Charlie (along with Ellie) for the whole awful situation. Would make for fun times! Workplace enemies, yay!
Yeees! I approve of workplace enemies! I can definitely see Charlie going in for tests or something and getting bad-mouthed by Jin, who's just sick of all the nonsense this mission has put everyone through. Maybe we can work from there or something? Either way, I think it'd be interesting! If you feel inspired to start something up, go for it!
