The Beneath-- a sprawling catacomb, a network of strange and otherworldly passageways through the very earth beneath your feet. It is a place of quiet where there is no law but that of the small communites searching for survival, each for itself in the dank, cold remnants; and of course the self-governing of the wanderers, traders, and vagabonds, those brave or unfortunate enough to travel the passageways alone.
But the Beneath is perhaps more importantly home to the last magic-- the magic of the Deep, old and dangerous in its trickery. For it is rumored that far beneath even the Beneath, a power beyond mortal comprehension lies in wait.
Yet that is a tale for another place and another time. Beneath the World is a literate+ subterranean dark fantasy role play group, focusing on the inhabitants of the Beneath, the few communities that they make up, and the rise of a new era-- whatever that may mean. We aim to be a tight-knit community of role players and friends; we try to be above all else welcoming of all types and all sorts of creativity, so don't be afraid to say hello.
