| Hey everyone Welcome to the new Arcadepimp. This forum was created dedicating to the good past times of when Scott aka Argonaut ran the website arcadepimp.com. It helped bring alot of players such as myself, together myself to meet others that played tekken. With the release of TTT2 and the rise of other fighting games, instead of being an exclusive group on Facebook putting up with the clunky layout we needed to deal with, me and Willus thought we should use this forum for communicating with one another instead. Please feel free to use these boards however you want as long as you are posting in the corresponding sections, following guidelines and generally being sensible. I'm not sure how many of us here actually had high expectations of Street Fighter X Tekken. I've got to admit - looking past the whole gem fiasco, the game looked pretty good pre-release.
Unfortunately, as we all know now, the game is somewhat less than impressive. Personally, I don't have a problem with the whole "on-disc DLC" thing, because in truth, the way digital media distribution works really only means I paid for what was advertised, not the contents of the disc. I can't complain about that sort of thing when I don't own it. However, there are a couple of glaring problems I can think of in the game, and I'm sure there are more you guys can come up with, and I think these issues need addressing. I've probably mentioned it before, but I dislike how the game has been 'balanced' around gems, which are inherently broken to begin with. All of the boost gems I have used have no significant impact on gameplay, while the impact of assist gems is too great to be ignored, let alone treated as a normal part of gameplay. Honestly, I think that if we can't have "no-gem" match lobbies, then at least give us the option to filter out users of gems that give a retarded advantage by completely negating the mix-up game. I've also heard a couple things about jabs causing too much blockstun, so I guess fix that, too? I really want to like this game. I really do. The engine has a lot of potential, but the game's fairly solid foundations are being drowned out by the game's bullshit. I feel that these, and any other changes you guys may suggest, could really help the game reach its full potential. If Capcom isn't willing to make these changes themselves, then perhaps we can apply these changes to a modified PC version? We're smart, we'll come up with something. -------------------- Never trust a supervillain to do your laundry!
