Hey everyone

Welcome to the new Arcadepimp.

This forum was created dedicating to the good past times of when Scott aka Argonaut ran the website arcadepimp.com. It helped bring alot of players such as myself, together myself to meet others that played tekken.

With the release of TTT2 and the rise of other fighting games, instead of being an exclusive group on Facebook putting up with the clunky layout we needed to deal with, me and Willus thought we should use this forum for communicating with one another instead.

Please feel free to use these boards however you want as long as you are posting in the corresponding sections, following guidelines and generally being sensible. Also of course anyone can join and post so please spread the word and enjoy.

Thanks
Erks

It's a fancy word for something that you really don't need to know lol.

Plinking is the same in tekken when you go 3~4 or something.

Guide on what plinking does:

Pretty much option selecting by pressing multiple buttons or increasing the frames of links by pressing more than one button...

Deifinition of Meaty attacks:
Meaty Attacks

A common term that is used in conjunction with Reversals is the "Meaty Attack". A Meaty Attack is an attack that is timed so that the enemy will get up into it on the very first frame after being knocked down. In other words, if the enemy tries to perform a move when they get up against your Meaty Attack and he/she mistimes it so that they do not perform a Reversal, they will get hit the instant they get up. An example of a Meaty attack would be Bison's Crouching Hard Kick. If you knock the enemy over, and then do Bison's long-lasting slide attack and time it so that the enemy gets up into it, that is considered a Meaty Attack. However, keep in mind that a Reversal that has invincibility will ALWAYS beat a Meaty Attack

Hahaha I knew I didn't play this game for a reason, I'm pretty sure Vega has none of these moves.

You can meaty with most normals and a few specials, but it's all character dependent.
Not all characters have a good reversal, though. And to be honest, one of the things that I dislike about this game is that a good reversal is one of the traits of the top tier.

Example of a good reversal: Shoryuken (Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Evil Ryu)
3-frame startup, invincible on the third frame, good upward angle, knocks down, can be FADC'd on hit for follow-up, or on block to make safe.

Example of a crap reversal: EX Tatsu (Guy)
Costs meter, can't be FADC'd, weird hitbox causes enemies to pass through it sometimes.
