AFTER THE TRILOGY
is a RP site based on events taking place after the unextended versions of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The places are the same, and the canons will those who did not die or leave Middle Earth by the ending of the third movie. I realize that there is a different ending to the book series, but this is based on the unextended movies alone.
PLOT
Sauron is defeated, the Ring of Power destroyed. Frodo, Gandalf, Lord Celeborn, Lord Elrond, and Lady Galadriel have departed Middle Earth. However, there are still some elves who remain, just as there are still evils left to roam the lands of Middle Earth.
Aragorn's rule begins peaceful, until the hunts begin. Hunts for the remaining villians of Sauron's forces who escaped the initial blast created by the destruction of The Ring. The old Fellowship, or those who remain of it, have been called into action once more. Though compensations were made to restore the low numbers.
Faramir, Éowyn, and Arwen have all been added to the ranks. Legolas and Gimli arrived in Minas Tirith together, and while Peregrin Took and Meriadoc Brandybuck answered the call and left the Shire for Minas Tirith, Samwise Gamgee opted to remain behind, with his wife and children, unless there was an absolute need for him to join them.
There are those who believe the new Fellowship will not be strong enough to finish the job Frodo and the original Fellow of the Ring started, but where there is weakness there is also new strength. Will it be enough to rise in the place of those who came before, and secure man's place in Middle Earth, as well the others who remained behind? Or will the world fall once more into chaos?
