Finally, a place where we can all keep track of how much credit we earn here on Our Solemn Hour. You will earn Galleons for just about everything you do here on the forum and with that credit you will be able to purchase certain things for your characters. From magical items of significance to special abilities.
Naturally, the random die rolls will still take place and you can always just cross your fingers and hope that you get what you want. But I know that it's aggravating to constantly see someone else get what you've been hoping for. So, instead of relying on the luck of the die all of the time, you may purchase such abilities with your Bank Credit.

The following are the things that will earn you 10 Galleons each
` posting in a previously empty forum
` 500+ word count post
` hitting the 50 post mark *
` recruiting a new member (your name must be mentioned in the appropriate space in their application)
` finishing a thread (this is for all members of that thread)
` winning a character award
` every 50 points you earn for your house
` posting in 20 threads *
` do something extra spectacular that is deemed worthy by the staff for extra points **
` opening a graphics shop and filling 5 requests *
` being nominated for a character award
` posting in a pinned IC thread (these are plot critical and will be posted in the 'Around the Board' topic if you are unsure)
The following are the things that you can purchase with your Galleons along with he price of each item
800 galleons ; learning unassisted flight
750 galleons ; you character discovers they are a metamorphmagus
600 galleons ; your character becoming a magid
550 galleons ; magical creature for a pet
500 galleons ; your character becoming a vampire/werewolf (this means that they are bitten and not that they find out they were born that way)
500 galleons ; a two-way mirror (this comes with two mirrors making it so that you may talk with the person on the other side of the opposite mirror)
400 galleons ; your character finds out they are a seer
350 galleons ; your character becoming an animagus
250 galleons ; removing your characters from a random die roll
200 galleons ; putting your character on the random die list twice
200 galleons ; legilimency for your character
200 galleons ; occlumency for your character
200 galleons ; parseltongue for your character
200 galleons ; character banner ***
70 galleons ; a roll of the die for your characters only
50 galleons ; a roll of the die
* this counts for every time you hit that number there after as well
** this will be added automatically
*** this can be any character or characters you'd like. They don't necessarily have to be yours
