PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: It would be a lie to say that Kulani was average when it came to looks. In fact, she is quite good looking. While overall she has a more 'pridelander' build with full cheeks and soft lines, she also has a fair share of 'outlander' triats that when put together give her an unusual yet beautiful appearance. Her fur is a coppery red tone which match her red eyes. She has an outlander like nose, which paired with her dorsal stripe and darkly lined eyes can make her look rather menacing to some. But her expression is usually kind and soft, and so counteracts what some consider more evil traits.

PERSONALITY: Kulani is the strong and determined type. She sees what she wants and goes for it with just the right amount of vigor to make her seem invincible. While she can be soft spoken, more often than not she is very happy to speak her mind. She is kind and fairly generous, and will not step on other people's toes to get what she wants. She will just find ways around the problem. What matters most though is that in the end, if she feels passionately about something, she will make it work in her favor.

Kulani has a bit of a superiority complex, but usually is able to keep it to herself. She feels that she has the right to be treated with respect, even if others outrank her. At the same time, she will respect those who do. A bit of an overachiever, she likes things to turn out in her favor more than anything else. She will rub her achievements in others faces if she feels the need, as well. Of course, this is only when they are disrespecting her or don't believe her ability to do something. Otherwise Kulani is quite respectful, or rather indifferent, to her peers.

Naturally outgoing and forward, Kulani gets along with others easily. Her personality is the type that draws others in. She's got charm, wit, and confidence, which do well to mask her stubborn and competitive tendencies. Overall Kulani is responsible and dependable, a lioness truly worthy of trust. She is hard working, likes perfection, and holds herself to a high esteem. While some of these traits seem like bad things, they really work on Kulani. Of course, she is still an acquired taste.

RELATIVES: Kulani never knew her father as he was a rogue, but her mother is still alive as well as two sisters.

HISTORY: Kulani was born into the pridelands and has lived there her whole life. She grew up around the same time as Makavu did, although as a cub she spent more time with her sisters than any of the other cubs in the pride. While she knew Makavu and played with him sometimes, she wouldn't have considered them good friends except for the fact that they both happened to be young together.

As young adults she and the other lions of her age group went out on their first hunts. She was one of the only ones who were successful, although her glory at catching a gazelle was overshadowed by Makavu's lucky strike at a buffalo. This sparked Kulani's competitive nature, and she dedicated much of her time to training and hunting, catching bigger and more impressive prey with each month that passed. Her goal; to kill a buffalo too. On a group hunt about a year later she was successful, coming up with the technique to hold her mouth over the buffalo's snout until it suffocated.

{pending} It wasn't her goal to become lead huntress, but as time went on it was clear that Kulani had simply put in the work, and it was only natural that she hold the title. Being vain she didn't say no to it, and she enjoys leading the other hunters and telling them what to do. While she can be a bit haughty and prideful, she didn't get the title for nothing, and so perhaps the pride is well deserved.
