Nasari had greeted them back politely. As she said Dorado's name, he gave a slightly bowed his head in recognition and smiled back at Nasari in return. She went on to apologize for interrupting what they were doing. "Oh, no, no need to apologize," he replied back. "We weren't really heading anywhere in particular. Just that general direction." He motioned forward with his paw to show where way he meant. "We were about to have a nice little run through the valley. You know, to relieve the stress of day and such, right Adisa?" He glanced over at Adisa, trying to read if her body language was in agreement or not with his last statement. It was dark, however, and he couldn't make out any of the finer details that would clue him into what she thought. He wasn't sure about Adisa, but he was still aching for a run, and he just decided to assume Adisa did as well.
Dorado turned his attention back to his mate. "You don't have to leave, Nasari," he added. "If you want, you can join us. It is a lovely evening for a run, after all." He turned his head up to the sky when he said that. There were streaks of clouds in the sky, obscuring rows of stars behind them. Towards the horizon lingered the last bit of sunlight, painting the sky with its warm hues that faded to purples the blues as it went up the sky and nearing black at the opposite end. He felt the crisp Nekuran breeze blow as it usually did around evening. "Indeed," he began to repeat to no one in particular, "a lovely evening for a run." -------------------- |

“Yes,” Adisa replied uncertainly. She felt awkward being the third wheel between the two. It always was for her. Secretly, she had a few times wished that she was closer to both Dorado and Nasari but then leaving, if she ever gathered up enough courage, would become nearly impossible. So, she kept her distance. Not like they would care anyway...She was just another adolescent cheetah that would, sooner or later, make a decision that will influence her future life. They had so much else to worry about, their own future to think about, Adisa simply was an extra. So instead she glanced at Nasari.
“It would be fun if you joined,” she said, half questioning, half assuring. She stretched, her claws digging into the soft earth that made up the river bank, her body curving and her tail ending up in her eyes. Huffing in annoyance, Adisa straightened, and closed her eyes, getting used to feeling mostly with her other senses. How dumb would she look if she fell because she didn’t realize there was something before her? She would have to leave the next day for the reputation of a winner which she hoped to achieve would be ruined. That wouldn’t happen. She opened her eyes and looked at the other older felines. |

"Alright then," she said, "I'll join you if you insist." The cheetahess then made a brief stretch, elongating her frame and extending her nails into the earth. It was an important habit that usually was performed before sprinting or hunting, in order to warm up and loosen the muscles. As long as they didn't suggest racing, she'd be fine. Nasari wasn't fond of competition. While she probably could match or, with luck, win at sports and playful rivalry, the pressure always seemed to reek of something bad waiting to happen. At least that's what it felt like when she was younger. So it is no surprise that it carried over into her adult years, but she still enjoyed running very much. Nasari couldn't remember the last time she went out in full, bursting top speed just because. Knowing her, maybe she had never done that ever, being very restricted in most mannerisms. -------------------- 4 - Adult creatures
