the legend begins!
The Lion King. It is a tale of family, love, responsibility, betrayal, friendship, faith, hope, and coming of age; the very elements that we all must face in our own life adventures. But the story of the Pridelands did not end with Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Nala, Kiara, and Kovu. Africa's chronicle has continued on long after, with these great leaders looking on from the glittering evening stars. Africa's stories, the histories of these majestic lion prides, are still being written: here on Ulaya, the Lion King RPG.
mane events!
7/9/12 -- Skips, Daimu, and Quail have joined the staff team! Thank you all so much for your dedication to this place! We are forever appreciative of the effort you've put forth and will continue do here! <3

7/8/12 -- Ulaya has lept into the time machine, people! Check out Time Machine in the 'Board News' area for more details.

6/9/12 -- Activity Check #2 is OVER! Even gave you an extra day, so all the characters that weren't accounted for will be archived. Also, a "time jump" is under discussion. It is located in 'Character Connection/Major Board Plots" so participate and place your vote!

5/24/12 -- On Saturday and Sunday (the 26th and 27th), the site will be closed for maintenance and updating. It will reopen on Monday, the 28th.

1/11/12 -- An "Activity Check" has been scheduled for January 18th to the 25th! So keep an eye on the 'Mandatory Reading" area, where it will be located. Information about it will be available before the activity check begins, but the actual thread will not be open to replies until the 18th.

8/04/11 -- The Return of the King! Ulaya is back with version 4.0, but this time... our story is starting over too. It's a fresh start, and we encourage everyone to invite their friends to our new beginning! While it's sad to see our old stories go, I'm convinced we can create brand new tales just as epic as the last! :) Please bear with us as we clean up the finishing touches to our new home, and enjoy yourselves here on the new Ulaya!

i just can't wait to be king
general information
    NAME: Airya
    NICKNAME: None preferred
    GENDER: Female
    SPECIES: African Lion
    RANKING: Lead Huntress
    AGE: Adult

    PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Airya is a dark cream colored lioness with green eyes, she has similar resemelence to her only cub, and takes it proudly. She has tan stalkings on her front legs, paws, and a tan underbelly. However since she is a skilled huntress she does have one slight flaw in her beauty. Across her back are three deep scars that she had obtained in a fight with another lion.

    PERSONALITY: Airya is loyal to the members of her tribe, she has a motherly instinct that has been noted, she would be willing to take any cub in that has lost both parents. Though she is often quiet and reserved, if anyone gets on her nerves and continues to push her she will strike back. She is not afraid of a fight or to show her strength in order to prove things. She does however, respect the old ways of life, and wants to make sure that the next generation still remembers them.

    RELATIVES: Neema (cub/daughter)

    HISTORY: Airya has always been a member of the Majabalian tribe since birth, she hasn't known any other place to her that is just like this that she can call home. It seemed like a happy peaceful way of life at first, she found love. It did bring forth a young cub many months later. She has taken note in her nephew's silence but enjoys watching the group as they grow. Seeing how different their personalities were as they were growing through cub hood. It made her remember the days of her playfulness.However, she still is rather busy in trying to take care of the hunting position she has.

The lioness waited patiently as she rested in the rocks for her cover, the sun beating down on her fur as she waited. The unsuspecting members of the zebra waited ahead, her instincts taking over. She was hungry, but it was the kings orders, that came to her head first. She hadn't forgotten them. Airya decided that it was best to move, the large grass that grew would be good enough to hide herself in the shadows, blending in with her surroundings. So she moved carefully on all fours stomach close to the ground.
Airya was doing as solo hunt this time, she enjoyed it out here alone on her own especially. Though lions were often seen together as pairs or groups out in the savannah, this was a treat for her. Carefully she spotted a young zebra nearby that wasn't suspecting her movement. the camoflauge seemed to be working. The zebra took a few more steps closer to her as the lioness prepared for an unsuspecting crouch. 'NOW.' She thought, seeing that this was her chance.
She lept up at the last minute as the zebra was unaware of her presence as she knocked the zebra onto the ground, claws sinking into the skin of the zebra as she used her teeth to latch onto the zebra's neck. It seemed like a fierce struggle between the two. Finally the zebra gave in, as she looked at her red stained claws. There would be food on the table tonight, that was for sure, now she had to drag this back to home. But oh she wished she could dine on it by herself, but that would have to wait.
