general information

NAME: Jagger
NICKNAME: Jag or sometimes Jaggy though not often.
GENDER: Male
SPECIES: Liguar (Lion x Jaguar hybrid).
RANKING: Nomad.
AGE: Cub.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Jagger, being half lion and half jaguar, has a closer resemblance to lion than his other half. He has the build of a lion - big and bulky - as well as the tail, and head fluff that most young male lion cubs have. Given that he is half jaguar, his mane will never fully grow into that of the average lion's. It will grow to about adolescent/young adult stage at best, never fully covering his neck or chest.

He is mainly a light dusty brown with a very light cream underbelly, muzzle, nose/snout blush, toes, inner ears, and upper eye patches. The rim of his ears are a dark chocolate brown and his tail tuft and spiky/mohawk-y mane fluff are a slightly lighter chocolate brown. His nose, bottoms of eye patches, and pawpads are a medium almost-reddish brown. He has jaguar rosettes/spots lining his back, hips, upper tail, shoulders, upper arms and thighs, his fuzzy cheeks, and the tops of his ears that are the same medium reddish-brown as his nose, pads, and bottoms of his eye patches. All of that is accented by brilliant light blue eyes.

PERSONALITY: This little guy is often rather shy and even jumpy at times. He is uneasy around any creature bigger than himself - including his adult feline counterparts. Loud noises and sudden, quick movements put him on edge. Fighting and arguing makes him back up or even run and hide. Chalk it all up to his past encounters with bigger creatures. He didn't have anyone to protect him during his more terrifying upbringing up until now.

All in all, beyond his nervous exterior, he is a very sweet and soft-spoken ball of scruff. He does have a slight stutter which is prominent when he is nervous...which tends to be most of the time. His shy nature makes it difficult for him to befriend others but once he does, he sticks by them...close by them for security.

RELATIVES: Father was a lion and mother was a jaguar, not much else is known about either. Parents were predetermined based on Jag's build and characteristics - lion being more presently dominant.

HISTORY: Because Jaguars are not native to the African forests, jungles, or savannahs - Jagger was not born in the wilds of Africa like most. His mother had been a tool of research for scientists in the western hemisphere. His father was captured young and raised in captivity and also became an instrument of science.

They were both raised together from a very young age and interacted well as cubs though it became more difficult as they got older. But, in the end - they produced multiple offspring, Jagger being one of the many cubs created by the pair of the years. The biggest and most appealing in physical characteristics were kept for study.

Jagger was one of the physically successful cubs though he did not flourish like the others. He did not possess the characteristics in personality that they were looking for in order to ultimately breed a truly successful and beautiful new hybrid species - the Liguar. Jag was very timid and so he was dubbed a failure and then shipped off to Africa and dumped in the savannah near a pride of lions. They figured he was young enough to be taken in without harm and be able to learn and grow in the wild.

And so Jag found himself at the edge of the Pridelands, terrified, lost, and alone. He never even got to meet his parents after his initial birth.
