PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: : Nyota has a healthy and rather slender, with a tad bit of muscle, build, which is pretty good for running but for fighting not so much. She is a young cub of average height and basically nothing that special about her. Nyota’s fur is darker than most pridelanders, instead of it being the ‘usual’ light cream sort of color her fur is more of darker tan. She has a lighter tan underbelly and paws. Nyota has a mark on her forehead that looks kind of like a star, and it’s basically the most favoured part of her appearance in her opinion. Her eyes are a dark yellow.

PERSONALITY: Nyota is a well behaved female who believes in only speaking when spoken to. She follows the rules religiously and does not like to associate herself with rouges or those who don’t follow rules, because of her silent behaviour she is anti-social and rarely makes friends . Nyota is pretty independent for a cub, but this independence often puts her in a tight spot since she tends to do everything alone.
Though she follows the rules Nyota can be easily persuaded into doing something if you use the right persuasion, like questioning her independence for one. Before her mother left her she use to be more outgoing and mellow but since then she has kept that side of her locked away. She has a great memory and is almost the complete opposite of her brother Kuvuka in personality.

HISTORY: Nyota's history starts at the time when her mother Kuwinda, an outlander, left her pride and family to join the pridelands. Her mother left the outlands because she couldn’t stand living in those deplorable conditions so she decided to see what living in a more prosperous land was like. Not too long after joining Kuwinda met Giza, who was a born pridelander, and the two immediately took a liking to each other. With each passing day the two grew closer and eventually mated. Kuwinda then gave birth to two cubs Nyota, the oldest, and Kuvuka, the youngest. There life seemed to be perfect, but soon Kuwinda found herself missing the outlands. Sure the place was low on resources and all, but it was her home and she missed it.
Kuwinda left the pridelands and returned home taking her son, Kuvuka with her and leaving Nyota with her father. No one really knows why she left with only Kuvuka, without consulting their father first, but everyone just assumed that she favoured the male in contrast to his sister. Giza was devasted by her leaving but Nyota seemed unfazed by it. The only this that did devastate her was the fact that her brother was gone.
Nyota was taken in by another female of the pride. Nyota doesn’t really see much of her father due to him being very busy. On the outside all of these events seem to have no affect on her but looks can be deceiving, because somewhere deep down inside she is hurting from the loss of her brother and from no longer being an important factor in her fathers life.
