i just can't wait to be king
(Not mine, all credit goes to Elwin for the drawing, I just recolored.)
Senna is a very figured lioness, with a strong build and long legs. Her tail is slightly shorter than an average tail, as the tip of it had been burned off accidentally, with a human torch (cigarette lighter). Her paws are normal size, her claws sharp like small daggers. Her eyes are an icy blue, and her fur is a light cream color. There are a few scars on her right side, but the more noticeable scars are on her chest and stomach, as she's been in a few nasty fights.
in the circle, the circle of life
Likes: Fish, steak; being shown affection, winning.
Dislikes: Losing, having to keep leaving the places she goes so she won't get hurt again, others acting like they are better than her, her scars.
Flaws: She has a very hard heart and does not trust anyone but herself. She is also much too competitive and headstrong. As for physical flaws, the scars on her side and underbelly.
Fears: That she will be brought to live in captivity again.
Weaknesses: She doesn't know when to give up, even if it means that she might be destroyed. Her pride is too important. She isn't really that strong either, and compared to most lions, she is quite weak.
Senna is brave, sometimes too brave, and she never gives up, no matter what. If she was to be in a fight, she would fight to the death, even if it brought on her own demise. But she is not really a fighter. She enjoys peaceful, quiet days and evenings, catching fish, grooming her fur..
She holds herself very elegantly, as if she were a queen. She walks swiftly and gracefully, and takes pride in her appearance, despite her scars. She tries to hide them as much as possible, as she hates how they've left a mark on her beauty. She is very prideful, and if her pride is insulted, she will seek revenge. The lioness is also very vain; even though she has scars, she acts like she is the most beautiful lioness ever born. She hates it when her paws get dirty, and when they do, she has to clean them immediately. She hates it even more when her fur gets dirty.
As for trusting others, this definitely is her weakest point. If she finds herself getting too close to someone, it's time for her to get a move on and leave. Perhaps it is because of her distrust of humans. She likes being social with others, but she never trusts them, and always treats talking with them as if she were dealing with an interrogation, as if the situation was one of life and death, being very careful with her words.
A part of her, a very small part, yearns for love and affection of someone who cares about her, but her heart is afraid to open up to anyone. She never lets it show how lonely she feels, for if she did, she would be ashamed of herself, and her pride would be tainted.
Senna was born and raised in captivity until she was an adolescent, living with her mother peacefully in the zoo of San Francisco. Life had been peaceful; Senna, of course, was the attention hog. She would parade around the cage, people staring in awe at the lioness' beauty. She would get fed good quality food three times a day.
But soon, her mother fell ill. The zoo keepers and veterinarians tried to save her, tending to her every day, giving her medical treatments and pills in her food. Nothing worked, so the mother lioness soon passed away. Life got harder after that. Senna stopped parading around her cage, and she would just sit there, all alone.
One day, a boy with a lighter had walked up to the cage and tried to get the attention of the lioness. Senna kept her back turned, her perfect tail swishing gently. The boy reached inside of the cage when his mother wasn't looking, and lit the lighter onto her tail. The fire burned off the tip of Senna's tail and she went mad from the pain of it. Senna tried to maul the boy through the cage. After that, the owners of the zoo thought it unsafe to keep such a wild, vicious animal on the property, so they locked her up and brought her to the savannah of Africa, with other wild lions.
However, Senna didn't stay with the other lions for long. She left almost immediately, going off on her own. From that day on, she had always been rouge, never staying in a place too long, afraid that she might get attached, and then cast aside again. She is now an adult and mourns over her mother's death, but also fears of being captured and put back into captivity, with those cruel, horrible humans. She is afraid of being part of a pride as well, as she is scared that they will hurt her just as humans did.
