Suddenly the brute halted and threw up his crania in a defening trumpet, calling Serenity to him.
Sharpened dagger drilled into the soft turf beneath him impatiently.
Kaji hated to wait.

Serenity came into sight, wondering why on earth Kaji sounded so mad. She went up to him, giving him a quizical look." Kaji, what is wrong?" She was confused and was also quite frightened. Kaji had never been this mad.
