Crickets paused in their sweet melody, the wind halted it's torrent, and the mist parted slowly, as tapering quartettes stepped out from the encompassing darkness. Everything it seemed, was waiting. Splashed pellicle shimmered in the thin light of dawn, while flaxen tapestry began a dance of elegance 'pon the zephyr. Evira, goddess of sky, maiden of light, and follower of none. Born of impurity, a castaway's child. Now stood at the foot of her lands, like a czaress before her court. She had become what others thought impossible. From the fall of her elemant, to the rising of a new, the young nymph had seen all that life had to offer. Now standing 'pon the ashen banks of crystalline water, thoughts of remorse, and pity began creeping about, like deathly shadows in a haunted graveyard, just as uninvited and scary.
Sweet mother, where art thou? Thy daughter is weary, and utterly worn thin. My lands are warstruck, and broken, yet I can do nothing but wait. Give me answers sweet dam, perhaps your world is better then mine. Where must I tread from here? Her words were but a whisper, a song of pleading, and loneliness. These rolling beaches had become both her sanctuary, and jail. The towering cliffs, a protecter, and a barrier. She felt trapped in a crazy world, utterly and thoroughly defenseless and alone. The soft lapping of waves against sand brought back the unwelcome feelings, as her mind, once more became grounded. With an angery snarl, quads buckled, as the minx settled 'pon sculpted haunches, and shot forth into the coming of day. The waves of the ocean, the beating of her heart, the pounding of her hooves, all entwined in a song of their own. Led by the seraph of splattered hue. Swoosh, swoosh...thump thump...clomp clomp...she scread for redemption, for an answer to these lingering question, but nothing came, but the same melody...swoosh swoosh...thump thump...clomp clomp...it drove her mad inside, as she tore against the bounds of mortality, each footstep, each wavebreak, each pound of her heart, slowly rising and consuming the goddess...swoosh swoosh...thump thump...clomp clomp...until it ceased...and everything was silent. Not a breath was taken, not a lash did bat as the feminine stood poised at the edge of a cliff. Finally, flanks expanded as a gasp of air was drawn into great chambers. Seemingly invisible wings spread out of nowhere, and in a single thrust, she was off, soaring through the sky, swooping to earth, and grazing the pearly gates of heaven where her mother now lay. When pedastals finally did touch ground, Evira felt revived, made anew by the glimpse of what eternity had to offer. The goddess had once again seen into the future, however fleeting it was, the feelings never ceased to thrill her. And so she stood silent, the slow sounds of morning consuming her fully. Crickets chirped, the breeze whistled, and the waves slowly lapped at the sound. -------------------- ![]() Evira- Goddess of the Sky-pegasi Eve-Follower of water-equine Adrienda-Follower of Fire-shapeshifter Intoxicated-Follower of Earth-equine Crystal Dreams-Follower of Sky-pegasi Lillianna-Follower of Earth-shapeshifter (I know, a lot of charries, these are a lot from other RPG's that I've put to death, and just missed too much.) |

Well sculptured mass hung heavily in the ever engulfing fog, his burning orbs seeming to take in everything at once. Stepping with ghostly ease from the deep confines of water vapor, he almost looked to appear out of nowhere behind her. His unseen features held a look of indifference, and another long step brought him into the corner of her eye line. It was, he knew, odd to see him out of his own lands, but they seemed quite boring after all he had seen. Besides, Evira never failed to amuse him, being the first horse he had ever met in Sweetwater. Ahh, that was a long time ago. A time when the gales of a coming war hardly ever carressed his thoughts, and he could enjoy long moments in the burning thickets. But those days were over, and he wasn't complaining. A lot had happened, for better or worse, which had really defined his ever lurking form. Now he spoke in his usual low voice, which easily penetrated the cool air.
"I see a certain someone is a bored as I. Is it the lack of action or the lack of anything worth doing?" A firey smile curved onto his elegant face, a smile that he was well known for. Yes, he was in need of, should we say, fun. A nice battle would have done him good. It wasn't like him and the water goddess were good friends, for that was why he came here. She was the most likely to stem his boredom for a while. Not to mention a more worthy opponent. He stood. (No muse. As usual.) -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire

A rippling sigh shivered through sleek boa as Comanches most unwanted voice broke through her thoughts. It was a sigh of agitation, for she knew nothing good came from the fire gods arrival, at least in her presence. Slowly, Evira turned, small physique seeming to shrink in the massive shadow of Comanche, but this mattered little, at least to her standpoint. At last, she allowed labrums to part, and her soft lyrics tumble out. The song was like bells, chiming over a lost city, they pleaded for salvation from a world so out of control.
Aye, Comanche, it seems you have come to a correct conclusion, though 'tis not from lack of action, rather lack of intelligance. My mind groes weary of fruitless battles, though I'm sure you know not what I speak. Her tone was not mocking, or fearful, rather dull, and indifferant to the visitor in her lands. Why had he come to her domain, certainly he, more then anyone, would realize her advantage in these haloed cliffs. Slowly, she began to pace, scythes placed purposefully slow 'pon the sand, as they sunk into the warm depths. Waves lapped at splashed pellicle, and sweeping baner sliced hesitantly 'cross muddy hocks. Once more, thin plush parted, flashing enamels gleaming in the lowlight of dawn. Her song swept o'er the breeze, clinging to the air like a lingering perfume, just as sweet, but not without reason. Thou have grown courageos(sp?) dark one, hast thou boredom become too much? Even you, my friend, must known, 'twas curiosity that killed the cat. A thin cackle drifted in the wake of her words, haunting as ever. Folding ebon wings, she allowed them to disappear 'pon her back, as if she were nothing more then an equine, to come upon a rank and title by accident. This thought was followed by another silvery laugh as thin stilts came to a halting silence. Why had he come? 'Twas a question not yet asked, she annoyed herself with such foolish behavior, why did she insist on using her humor to create conversation? Wasn't straight forwardness, an amusing attribute in itself? Hazel chasim flickered for a moment, and a veil of seriousness settled 'pon the nymph of splattered hue. Why do you come to my realm Comanche? 'Twas a simple question, to say the least, but not without emotion. She had never really feared this brute, respected, of course, but never did she cower before him. He was her match, her criptonite, and she hated it. No other could agitate, annoy, or scorn her so ruthlessly(sp?), and succesfully. Another sigh slipped into the brilliant litho, as flats gripped the terra firma below. All other mechanics ceased, as she stood silently, waiting, and watching with a curious eye. One could never expect anything from COmanche, this was a lesson learned from experiance.

He shrugged, looking out across the steep cliffs, and down onto the foaming waves.
"Ah, I guess it did. But curiousity can also be a virtue when boredom is the only thing opposing it." Comanche, or all horses, hated water. But in his lust to find something to do, he didn't care. For a moment in the eternal flame in his harem he had threatened himself to run around without cease. This was all he could do to keep from going crazy. "I'm here for a momentary stop to this boredom. And I knew you'd be just thrilled to see me." Although age had mellowed his frightfully chance taking ways, he could still be as sarcastic as a colt. Noticing her sudden change in stance, from humor to seriousness, he quickly noted it. Quite odd. But it would be better for him. Her constant jokes to hide her feelings got annoying for a horse like him. Chuckling to himself in that low way, he finally spoke a question, not an answer. "So you've finally noticed what has amused me so about you. Congrats." A twisted grin settled on his features. He was, indeed, trying on purpose to agravate her. He waited. -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire

Of all days he had to come. With a final sigh, Evira turned sharply, sculpted rump the only view as she walked towards the ocean. Lightening sliced 'cross the horizon, a warning of growing anger, but she wouldn't allow this...this...another aggravated sigh as she turned to face him, slowly. No emotion played across her face, no hint of her inner feelings, except those eyes. As much as she hated it, they were a mirror into her feelings, and there was nothing to hide anymore.
Comanche, Comanche...hast thou lost his thirst for blood, am I the only escape from monotony(sp?)? I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm in no mood for your games today. So unless you wish to carry on a civil conversation, I advise you to leave, for I will be no more exciting then your lands. Allowing her lids to slip closed, Evira shut out the world, if only momentarily. In this brief lapse of time, she could regain what little composure she had left, not of anger, but sheer unwillingness(sp?) to contend. As pools reflected the sun once more, she saw before her, the black manacing inferno, the proverbial flame that licked at 'er hocks, and threatened to consume everything in it's path. Hadn't she dealt with this before, withstood those harsh fumes of ash, and burnt flesh? So why did it seem so overwhelming now? Her state of mind was ill at ease, as was her eagerness to protect her lands. In all, she was just fed up with everything, and good ol' Comanche seemed right on cue, as usual. Finally, she decided a change of subject would help cool the flame of fire god, bring his attention elsewhere. Tell me Comanche, thy arrival is much a....surprise....to say the least, yet you answer my question, with a question. It's seems, to my standpoint at least, that you have lost your luster? Tell me, has age cought up with thee? She cackled softly, though they both knew, even with age, nothing would slack Comanche's....well....comancheness(made up word...sorry no muse), 'twas only a ploy, to draw away from the growing interest in amusemant, and what type of amusemant, to be more specific, and knowing Comanche, it usually invovled fighting, and pain.

"I wonder if it has.....though, we both know it would be odd of me to let that slow me down. Now now, if I wanted to leave, I'd have done so by now. Truly, I need something to do. Please, delight me with your ever so boring vocals."
He swung into a leisurely walk, coming to halt in front of her. "I think the real question is, has age caught up with you? I seem to remember a bouncy little filly, not something that looks like skin and bone. Not to mention, you're usually the one playing this game." Again, he grinned. -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire

That was it, the last straw. She cackled soflty, allowing a sickly feminine smile to settle on her features. Turning sharply, banner snapped out at him flirtateously, though moking, 'twas flirtateous.
Why Comanche, me...old? 'Tis a concept so alien to thine ears. Please, don't make me chuckle anymore. Slowly she spun around, giving him an "Oh this is gross" shrug. She gave in, as always, to the insisting humor, and again, a laugh rose, as she discarded the girlish charm, for fiery sarcassm. Alright Comanche, I'll bite. (BLECH...i'm so museless....I dunno what else to do, are we gonna fight, if so, lemme know, so I can get pissed or something, in the mood she's in now, she won't even fight ya, just lemme know, so I'm not totally caught off gaurd *grin* lol) -------------------- ![]() Evira- Goddess of the Sky-pegasi Eve-Follower of water-equine Adrienda-Follower of Fire-shapeshifter Intoxicated-Follower of Earth-equine Crystal Dreams-Follower of Sky-pegasi Lillianna-Follower of Earth-shapeshifter (I know, a lot of charries, these are a lot from other RPG's that I've put to death, and just missed too much.) |

(Yeah, they are going to fight.)
Good, she was finally becoming irritated enough to show it. "Oh, you're so charming." The grin split into a dangerous smile, and in seconds he stood much closer to her than before. With a snakey hiss, he whispered. "Prove it." -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire

She knew what this was, and knew she shouldn't sink to his level, but a battle seemed oh too tempting. A cackle began to form deep within 'er throat, and boiled slowly into the litho. The simmering aftermath floated in the chilled zephyr, and sinew began to move, slowly at first, but growing fevered as limbs pump harder, and lithe torso was carried 'cross the terra firma.
'Twould be thy pleasure Comanche. Her words were lost in the swirling winds that soon became a spinning tunnel, crashing through the sky and touching the ground at Evira's feet. So Comanche wanted excitemant...she'd do everything it took, to suit this yearning. Lightening sliced the horizon, and 'er once silent land was corrupted by her fury. Hail seared through the air, slamming into the ground like giant coconuts. With a cackle, ebon wings were spread, and she took to her storm, becoming one with the raging winds. This was her elemant, and she had no doubt, Comanche would take no less of a zest to 'is attack. The tornado took on an unpredictable path, circling the black hellion. Tree limbs crashed all about, as acid rain and golfball hail cascaded from the clouds. This truly was a storm from hell.

Letting the rain run down his pelt, he shrugged it off insolently, happy that she had finally complied. All though he was all to eager to get started, there was, to his surprise, something of a feeling of dread. That his days would never be the same after this. Of course, he ignored it, and up into the sky a tornado of flame erupted, and it blended smoothly into Evira's, coming out to be a huge torent of firey wind. Because of this, he was now able to focus on other things. The acid rain became huge fireballs, falling to earth. This was his style, this was Comanche style. Sudden waves sweeped the slopes, burning everthing in their path, and the storm from hell suddenly was hell. Fire and all. He blended into his much loved element, the wind caressing his tassels like a long lost friend.
"Much better." Taking a step into the swirling tornado, he let the flaming winds carry him high into the air, so that he was eye to eye with his opponent. And with frightening force all the fire he had went straight at her. (Okay, hop to it, let's make this quick. We're already stretching ourselves thin by taking this long.XD) -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire

Singed pellicle burned fiercefully, but a cackle of defiance lit the air. The waters of her lagoon soon grew, until the wild tsunami crashed onto earth, suffactating all fire in it's path. Eye to eye she was with Comanche, and a surge of thrill spun tightly 'round her. A shield of ghostly water surrounded the minx of splashed hue, though 'twas incapable of keeping all fire out, it did help the pain. Again lightening struck the earth, claps of thunder were almost deafening, and winds reached speeds unknown to any before. Slowly, powers became centered, sinew bunched, straining, and working to gather as much strength as possible. Lids fluttered closed, and soon the earth began to quak(sp?). Large boulders and rocks fell from 'er cliffs surrounding the two, as fire and water were set in thier battle 'pon the turf. A plague had come down on her once peaceful lands, and she was the cause. Slowly, razor wings began beat harder against 'er sides, as yet another crashing wave slammed the earth. Every once of magic she had became locked in concentration as eyes never left 'er opponant. Something screamed for her to stop, cease this petty fight once and for all...but still she readied for an attack.
(I give you permission to powerplay, I dunno how we're going to make this happen...so I'll let you work out the whole "crash" scene, what happens to us and all...just be fair...and i trust you will....lol...) -------------------- ![]() Evira- Goddess of the Sky-pegasi Eve-Follower of water-equine Adrienda-Follower of Fire-shapeshifter Intoxicated-Follower of Earth-equine Crystal Dreams-Follower of Sky-pegasi Lillianna-Follower of Earth-shapeshifter (I know, a lot of charries, these are a lot from other RPG's that I've put to death, and just missed too much.) |

The water slushed at his body, and it was all he could do to keep from being swept off his feet. Laughing at the spectacle under him, he locked gaze with Evira, and suddenly came forward, knocking her out of the sky with a great slam of bodies. But he himself also fell, the wind whipping mercilessly at his tassels. As the firey, wet, turf sped up to meet him, he closed his eyes, and let the fire catch him just seconds before he hit the ground. But his right front leg hurt badly, and he looked down to see an unstemmed flow of blood coming from it. No matter, it wasn't broken, and would heal quickly. Limping over to a rock, he pressed his leg against it, sizzling the flesh, and stopping the free flow of blood. Then he turned once more to Evira, and let his flames engulf the entire territory. But the storm went on above him, the rain pouring down onto him. A sudden movement startled him, making him dive to the ground. The last thing he remembered was fire all around him, then blackness. Complete darkness.
They lay motionless. (Eh? Had to put a little climax there. It really hurt to make him bleed like that. Call me sensitive. ) -------------------- Comanche- The God Of Fire
