Thanks Simon. I'm definitely downloading that one. I asked my sister to check Perth's secondhand bookstores for Hal - she couldn't find any. Which must mean people like them too much to get rid of. smile.gif

I believe my bookmarks & fridge magnets have arrived at my sister's place, she's here next weekend with them, I can't wait.

Just a note to anyone who found this topic - there is a sci-fi section on the board, feel free to join and invite your friends! See here.

Simon has launched book #4, No free lunch. Next two books planned are Legacy and Big Bang.

The first book Hal Spacejock is still available as a free download. Soon the entire series can be bought as e-books - cool!

Simon has also contributed a short story to an e-zine, which can be downloaded for a donation. There are several stories in the volume, and proceeds go towards Victorian bushfire relief. See here for more details.

Simon's books are available as e-books, with the first one a free download! Cool if the postage from Oz makes you shudder! cool.gif

The e-books are well priced, low cost as in A$5 each, which is under US$3.50.

I've read parts of the first book, it is great fun.

The e-books can be ordered from here.

Good news is that you don't need to buy a special device to read it with. and to quote from Simon's email:

QUOTE
The publisher has agreed to release the books in unencrypted text, rtf and html formats, making it easy to convert them for all manner of ebook reading devices, smartphones, etc.

The first e-book is available free from the same link as where you order teh rest from - maybe a few of us should do a group read?
