Just finished another reading of
"The Count of Monte Cristo", unabridged of course. I've lost
"the count" 
of the number of times I've read this book. A long and tough read considering the language style, but hugely rewarding! I think it would be one of those items I would want to have with me if I were stranded on a desert island.

Caution to anyone who would choose to buy this book in hardback: my copy as seen in the attached picture is the Modern Classics version. The binding is awful; although it is a big book, the binding has broken in at least two locations. It's poorly constructed.
