I have to write this paper on why I think that fine arts should stay in schools, and I though that I would post this topic here and see what you guys think, you might even be able to help me on my paper happy.gif

I, like I've said, think that fine arts should stay in schools..
I think that fine arts and literature are two major keystones in our society..
Just look at archiologists **Don't know if I spelled that right x_x** the things they dig up are...vases, clothing, jewelry, broken up sculptures, etc. All of those are related to art..half the jobs available out there are arts.
A lot of schools here have already taken away some of their fine arts classes
and are now funding sports..and silly games that are volunteered after school like frisby golf.
I like sports and all, but funding should stay with the arts!

What do you guys think?

I myself dont really think to much of fine arts. I find literature and painting to be quite medeokre within my life, as I rarely do much of both anymore.

I used to love painting and drawing murals, Now I kinda moved into graffiti and rap....You know, all part of losin everything.

I looooove fine arts! Literature, drawing, painting, classical music, I love it! I think it should stay!! I dont know why jocks are tryin to take us over!

Sure I am fat, unathletic and have a bad acne problem and im pale, But I am proud of myself! I love art and literature, I think it should stay!!

Anyway.. I wrote the essay (Hopefully I would have >_> in this time)
But continue talking about it!
My sister brought up that..currently in one of the middle schools here
(That I know of anyway) Got rid of their musicals to turn funding to sports..
(Yes, I like sports, but I like fine arts better.)
There are more places you can go outside of school for sports..
Like the boys and girls club...
But it's harder to find art.
Students need to explore these things while they are young!
