About Your Character
Full Name: Rah-Rin Yakamoto Nickname: Rah, Ri (by close friends), Yakamoto-kun (back in Japan by most everyone he wasn’t good friends with.) Birthday: 13/12 Age: 17 years old Year: 3 Clique: Student Parents: Jiro Yakamoto (Father 38 years old) Mia Yakamoto (Mother; Deceased died in child labor at 33 years) Siblings: Miako Yakamoto (Little Sister, 5 years old) Appearance ---> Boyish looks that will most likely never fade away. That ‘forever youthful’ type of face. His skin is fair, but is hard to tan so the use of sunscreen is often left in the dust. He stands at a rather tall five eleven, considering his Japanese heritage, and has an athletically build and maintained body. Broad shoulders with a narrow waist he is quiet the looker. Though he does have a scar on the inside of his wrist from an incident a few years back during middle school that will never fade. Its three inch length running vertically on the inside of his left wrist with a pale grayish pink color. He is often seen wearing designer clothing that was made for him, however it doesn’t seem anything to special at times. He wears ‘civilian’ cloths when he is relaxing, mostly sports sweats, t-shirts found mostly at freebie shows, and sweatshirts with Japanese bands’ logos stamped all over them. Personality ---> The first word that comes to mind is mostly, Lucky. Since he never mentions the accident from his middle school days nor does he speak of his mother’s death he is really a lucky kid. Getting most everything he wants. Either on his own or with his father’s money. He loves making people laugh and enjoy themselves, especially those he considers his friends. He can’t seem to hold a serious conversation for long and though he doesn’t notice he’s really good at giving advice, despite his happy-go-lucky attitude when he is giving it. He’s a big fan of parties, not the formal kind, the ones thrown together at somewhat last minute. Though this persona is the one seen by the public when it comes to family and matters of the past he’s very stoic and silent. Not that he wants to be. It’s merely the fact that he inherited one of the less social friendly traits from his father. The rather dangerous level of anger he is capable of archiving. Though thanks mainly impart to his up bringing he has never gotten to any point beyond a spoiled child throwing a small fit for a toy. He cares deeply for his baby sister and often calls, and gets calls, from her. Which is rather funny, a five year old calling her big brother. However this is mostly due to the fact that he has been more of her father figure then their real father. Who, due to his busy work schedule since their mother’s passing, has hired a 24 hour nanny for the young Miako. Even though he will succeed his father in the family’s Asian based corporate empire he and his father rarely trade words beyond simple conversations, this has been going on since his senior year in middle school. History ---> Born and raised in the booming city of Tokyo Japan Rah-Rin was born into the upper crust of the elites. His family, the Yakamoto’s, Founding, and owning, what had originated as one of few transport companies surviving the great Second World War. Which quickly flourished in most every field, Music, Acting, etc. They are one of the first to break into the world mostly inhabited by those still rich from the feudal era Warlords, becoming one of the top five ruling families after successfully merging with one thanks to a marriage between Jiro and his love Mia. Rah was raised by his mother, and on the days off and weekends, both his parents. Spending their time and money on their precious son. However once Rah entered middle school things began to change. In his first year his baby sister was born, happy as he was to have a sibling he lost his precious person. His mother. Their father refusing to go to a house that his wife had kept so tidy Miako and Rah lived with their grandparents for a year or so until the family’s apartment complex was finished, where they took a permanent residence in one of the top most apartments. Far from the house Rah had spent the last twelve years in. As Rah slowly fell from the spot light of his father’s rare spouts of attention and the nagging fraternal(is that right?) mother of Miako snapped at the eldest of the Yakamoto fortune choosing to spoil day and night on the daughter. By his junior year in middle school Rah had found his outlet, befriend many people in his school and spending more time at their homes then his own. Though one rainy night his father, who had swung by the apartment to get some documents, found his son unconscious in the bathroom with a slit wrist. Lying, and saying that he didn’t remember the circumstance of the wound Rah avoided the fact of admitting he was for once giving into his loneliness. What broke that feeling was the fact he had made his baby sister cry every time she saw him. He, the one who hated tears and preferred smiles. From this point on he put his head into sports and school even getting nabbed by his Father’s close friend and acting scout for their company for some plays then dragged willing onto the fashion scene as one of the models for ‘his’ generation, focusing mainly on getting into Wren, a school on foreign soil his grandfather on both sides wished for him to attend. Finally managing to get the school’s attention after his freshman year in high school. What got you accepted into Wren, if you are a student? --> Acting/Modeling, cold hard cash Role-playing Sample ---> Cell phone chimed its preset Fin Fantasy ring tone for when Miako called. She had a deep love of that series. Ignoring the looks he was receiving form a few of the surrounding populous he answered happily. Native Japanese spilling from his voice box. ”What can I do for you sis?” he requested after they exchanged some small talk. The five year old paused thinking hard on her next statement, ”Where Ri now?” ”To school. I’m at the airport right now.” he answered simply strange she knew that. ”Where?” ”Gate ten…why?” he asked checking the gate number during his pause. The other end when silent then there was a shrill shout from to his left and a bolt of pink suddenly latched to his legs. Face buried in his thigh. ”Miako what are you-“ his father and the latest girlfriend walked up and he placed a hand on his sister’s brown head of hair. “Why are you here?” he asked in English now, seamless transition. Miako knew few English words so until she grew to be fluent it was the language he and his father used when finding the conversation might possibly turn ageist one of the participants. “She wanted to see you off. She didn’t offer much of an alternative.” The fact he looked exactly like his father did at his age bothered him when they went to social functions. Then there was the public. Muttering began to grow, everyone knew his father. Who wouldn’t know the man who’s face was on the paper and in the news at least three times a week in the main headlines? “Well you can wait out front then. Take your latest girl with you.” His father sighed and his response was him leading the two away. Leaving Miako with her brother. Rin squatted to eye level with his brown eyed sibling to find her eyes bring with water. ”I promise to come back soon Miako, I’ve held that word for the past two years.” he muttered gently in Japanese, referring to his pervious year at Wren and the freshman year at a boarding school that got him into wren. She sniffled, ”B-But Miako will be lonely.” she wailed and he sighed pulling her into his arm and handing her to her newest nanny who had walked over, probably on que seeing as how the attendant was now calling first class flyers. ”Be good Miako, and play nice with Nina, she’s new so show her the ropes.” the easy to please five year nodded groggily. She had probably cried on the way over here and as he handed her over the bell charm he’d sent her for her birthday chimed from where it was strapped her cell phone hanging around her neck. Nina stepped away and Rah-Rin shouldered his bag and walked to the attendant, handed his ticket to her and continued to the plane to go back to school. **Avatar credits to Gackt Camui |
