I made these promises to myself awhile ago, and I want to share them with you guys, my friends. I might need your help with some of them. You might want to join me on others. Feel free.


1. I PROMISE THAT I WILL NOT POISON MY BODY.
This includes cigarettes, weed, any other drug, and alcohol. I've never done it before and I never plan to because I've seen what it can do to people's personalities and bodies. For my own safety and health, I will not poison my body.

2. I PROMISE THAT I WILL NEVER TURN AWAY A FRIEND IN NEED.
No matter the time or the place, if you really need me, I will be there, and I will never turn you away. Because I love you, I promise that I will never turn away a friend in need.

3. I PROMISE THAT I WILL ALWAYS GIVE WHAT I CAN.
I see so many homeless people around town, and no matter whether or not I've eaten, I always give up what's in my pocket at the time, because I know that I will probably eat later. They might not be so lucky. Because they are less fortunate, I promise that I will always give what I can.

4. I PROMISE THAT I WILL BE TRUE TO MYSELF.
As it is, I'm not affected much by the media. I want to stay that way, to have my own opinion, style, and personality. I don't want to be another drone, and so I promise that I will be true to myself.

5. I PROMISE THAT I WILL GIVE MYSELF ONLY WHEN I'M WITH THE RIGHT MAN.
I am a virgin, and I want to stay that way for awhile. I don't want to regret my first time with a guy, and so I promise that I will give myself only when I'm with the right man.

6. I PROMISE THAT I WILL BE AS HONEST AS I CAN BE.
I've lied a lot in the past and it's always come back to bite me in the ass. I'm sick of doing it because it does get tiring, and it does make a lot of enemies. Because I don't want to be called a liar, I promise that I will be as honest as I can be.

7. I PROMISE THAT I WILL BE AS NONVIOLENT AS POSSIBLE.
I already don't dig on violence, but from time to time, I'll kick or sock someone that's making me mad and it's not the way to go. Violence won't solve much, and so I promise that I will be as nonviolent as possible.

8. I PROMISE TO ALWAYS BE PATIENT.
Everything in this world has to go quick, quick, quick, and it's annoying to me. I'm already a pretty patient person, but I want to stay that way, and not be irritated by the 40-second wait in the drive-thru like everyone else. To be a better person, I promise to always be patient.

9. I PROMISE TO ALWAYS LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
Safely of course. I want to have fun and be fun, and have others like me for who I am. But daring doesn't always mean dangerous. Still, I promise to always live life to the fullest.

10. I PROMISE THAT I WILL ALWAYS DO EVERYTHING TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY.
To honor myself and others, I will always do everything to the best of my ability. It doesn't matter if it's just helping a friend, or a chemistry test, or keeping up with these promises. In order to be a better person, I promise that I will always do everything to the best of my own ability.



Don't make fun of me for these, guys. They mean a lot to me.
