If you do, I will not hesitate to bust you for it and forbid your character from being played. Don't mess with me on these guys. I made them, they are mine, and I am damned protective of them. Earth Demons/Earthans The race of humans split into two different species thousands of years ago, giving enough time for a new species to emerge. Because of their outlandish coloring and appearances, they were called demons by the suspicious humans. However, they are quite different from the demons from hell, and are instead demons from Earth. To avoid confusion, they are called earthans. Appearance Restrictions Hair Color: An earthan's hair can be any color found in nature. This makes it a very wide spectrum of color. If your Earthan has red hair, don't just say red, say like "Rose red" or something like that, so we know where in nature it comes up. Eye Color: An earthan's eyes can be any color found in nature. This makes it a very wide spectrum of color. Don't leave it at just "purple" though, say something like "the purple found in iris flowers", so we know where in nature it comes up. Build: Earthans usually have more muscle mass than humans, as well as being thicker around the middle but still proportionate. They are hunters by nature, and so they have more muscle. Their lungs and heart are also 30% larger than the average human's, and so they have those broad chests. Height: Between 3'5" and 8'5", depending on the sub-species of earthan. Weight: Largely depends on the sub-species of earthan. Other: Every animalistic earthan will take on the physical features of whatever animal they are related to. Elemental and organic earthans will have pointed ears, though different from an elf's. Humans will often catch earthans and mark them to be easily told apart from elves and humans with two red stripes on either cheek. Abilities Every earthan has above-average strength and endurance, as well as heightened senses. They are hunters by nature, and so their senses and abilities have gotten better over the years. They can also growl, purr, and make other animal-related noises. They have a language all their own, made up of mostly distinct noises, because they have extra vocal chords, and this language is impossible to speak or even understand if you are not an earthan. Earthans also have an extended lifespan, usually two or three times the lifespan of a human in the animalistic earthans, and an indeterminate amount of time when it comes to the organics and elementals. Animalistic Earthans: Because earthans are completely in-tune with nature, they sometimes take on the features of the animals found in nature. There are no limits to what kind of animal they could have the features on, but the most common are the large cats, large canines, bears, pachyderms. Animalistic earthans will take on the features as well as abilities of the animal that they are related to. They will be born with their abilities, and therefore have the most amount of control with them out of all earthans. Elemental Earthans: There are only four types of Elemental Earthans -- earth, air, fire, and water. An earthan with abilities over Earth would be able to move rocks and soil. Fire earthans can control fire. Water earthans can control water. Air earthans control the winds, and are handy on ships. The amount of control and power they have with their abilities depends on the amount of training that they are given. These abilities will kick in during puberty. Organic Earthans: Any natural forces that aren't classified in the elements are classified as organic. This includes abilities over things such as lightning, plants, animals, thunder, electricity, light, darkness, and other such abilities. One organic ability that is still baffling is the ability to heal through touch, but most scholars assume that it has something to do with the natural ability to regenerate. They just move the process along faster. Deadly Blood: The blood of an earthan will slowly dissolve into the air, if they're left to bleed profusely. Small doses of this gas won't affect anyone, but after a few long moments left to bleed, the dissolving blood becomes poisonous to humans, angels, and elves. Sometimes this can be used as a weapon, but it's really meant to keep their bodies from being mutilated after death. Drawbacks Earthans Are Mortal: Even with all those perks, earthans are still very much mortal. They do heal faster than humans, but they can still die in battle. Every earthan has a weakness, and it usually has something to do with his abilities. Earthans will not live forever, even if they do live for thousands of years. Earthans Are Feared: While most would consider this an advantage, the earthans don't like to be outcasted by their human cousins. They're social creatures, and if they don't have any family nearby, they will go to human villages to seek some company. Sadly, they don't ever get a very warm welcome. Earthans Have Fast Metabolisms: This can be an advantage and a disadvantage. They can't get drunk because they metabolize the liquor too quickly for it to be effective. They can't get high because they metabolize the drug too quickly for it to be effective. They have to eat six meals a day rather than the human four because their food is digested too quickly. The advantage of it is that you'll never find an overweight earthan. Earthans Are TOO In-Touch With the Earth: They feel pain in autumn, when the Earth is dying. They feel cold during winter, when the Earth is dead. They feel joy in spring, when the Earth is being reborn. They are most active during the summertime, when the Earth is alive and well. They celebrate the seasons as well as feel them within their own bodies. Earthans Have A "Little Voice": Though no one is really sure how it got there, every earthan has a voice in the back of their head that tells them what they need to do, earthan-wise. Most earthans call it their instinct, as it will warn them if somebody is behind them or if they're being watched. Sadly, it also has the ability to drive an earthan insane. This voice will also tell them exactly who they should take as a mate, who their family is (whether or not they've never met them before), as well as telling them when it's okay to fly off the handle. Earthans Have Hot Tempers: You can blame instinct for this. Not only will earthans throw hissy fits kind of quickly, their anger has the ability to turn them into bloodthirsty monsters. This state is called Bloodlust. Bloodlust has two stages. The first is red, and is characterized by their eyes turning completely blood red -- iris, pupil, and white part. They will kill anything in sight that they don't recognize as family, regardless of race, gender, or relationship. The second is black, and is characterized by completely black eyes -- iris, pupil, and white part. This is when their bloodthirst is directed at one point in particular, the one that did the angering in the first place. Earthans Are Easily Offended: They can't help it. Their instinct is a powerful force when it comes to their emotions as well as their thoughts. If you wrong an earthan, you're in trouble. The highest offenses among earthans are raping family/mate or killing family/mate. Don't steal from them either. They're highly protective of their family, their property, and their mates. Earthans Mate For Life: They're completely monogamous as well. The choice must be made carefully, but it is also a very complicated process. Once they have found the one that their instinct says is right (earthans believe that they were made for one person and that person was made for them), they will stick with that person until they are mated or until one of them dies. Once they're mated, if one dies, the other goes with them (they create extremely close bonds). More on mating later. Other Features - Angels can manifest themselves into the four elements, and if they happen to be caught by an elemental earthan, said earthan has complete control over that angel for the entire time that they are manifested in that element. Most earthans are careful not to take control of the angel, but it is handy in a fight between the two. - Air earthans are often used on sailing ships to speed the journey through their abilities with the wind. - Minotaurs are believed to be an exclusively evolved form of the bull earthans, and satyrs are believed to be an evolved form of goat earthans. - Dragons and earthans get along surprisingly well. It's never unusual to find an earthan with a dragon as his mount instead of a horse. - To manticores, the flesh of an earthan is a delicacy. -------------------- So when you get to heaven, May the devil be your judge.
