Someone asked on Facebook if we were dead - more like MIA. I am sorry, this summer has been busy and I have neglected my old friend.
I haven't been missing due to writing - well, have been writing some. I'm now the volunteer marketing and PR person for our county arts council and that is a bigger job that I expected, LOL. This has been a fun and busy summer. Yes, I have been keeping up with many WBBSers on Facebook. Tis true. |

Note to Jewel Tones: Facebook will not allow anybody to key in the WBBs coordinates since it views the site as "spammy" or unsafe. Is anybody doing anything about this situation?

Yeah I had that spam thing happen to me on Facebook too. I don't think there's much anybody can do about it since Facebook controls it. I think the WBBS avoided it for awhile with the custom url (www.writersbbs.com).

www.writersbbs.com doesn't work at all anymore.
Instead, it brings up an English language site about all things Chinese. And I can't get on the BBS through Facebook either. Sigh. AC |

AC I think Danse mentioned a while back that she wasn't renewing the custom url (www.writersbbs.com). I could have sworn I read that here somewhere. And Facebook definitely doesn't like the Invision URLS. It thinks they're all spammy. How do you get around that? I don't know. Maybe type in the invision url without the www[dot] part? But yeah, people need to know how to find the board or nobody's gonna show up thinking it's gone.

I do not know what is wrong, nothing has changed domains are still active. You can access from http://writers-bbs.com until I can find Adam to figure it out.

As you mention JT - since nobody (including me) can access WBBS through the usual way, they will assume the site is gone. The real sad part is that even when the site was "normal" - nobody visited other than spammers. The suggestion by AC to have a cyber reunion of sorts, was a good one and all that is reqired is to send out an invite to the members. However...until the accessibility situation is resolved, it will have to go on the back-burner.

Oh, that's right, Adam has posted in the website issue forum that there were problems with it, etc, etc, etc. That's right.
For the life of me I can't find the WBBS facebook link. Anybody have that handy? JT |

And the only posts I've removed in months and months and months have been spam.
But posts that violate rules are removed. Topics that are repeat posted (mostly board questions/glitches) are consolidated. But I can't even remember the last time either one of those things have happened. If people have concerns about posts that are removed, feel free to email Danse. I'm sure she'll happily address it.
