As is a staple quality of Whisperians, Stella is quite angelic in appearance - almost to the point of ridiculousness. She practically glows. Almost child-like in appearance, Stella has large blue-green eyes and full pink lips. Her hair is long, golden-blonde, with loose curls. Her skin is pale and clear. She isn't terribly tall, standing at barely five feet four inches, and her figure is lithe; yet unmistakeably woman-like. Despite her innocent face and small stature, there are many who are awed and even threatened by her appearance. Shock value is helpful to the Whisperian race.
There is something about Stella, however, that puts her apart from others of her kind. There's something in her eyes that is distinctly detached and sad in nature, which perhaps makes her seem more real to people.

General Personality:

The general traits of the Whisperian population are ever present in Stella's persona. She is innocent and naive; believing in peace and love and equality. This gives her both advantage and disadvantage. The idealistic tendencies of her race can lead to difficulty when hoping for the best leads to being taken advantage of by the worst. Of course, there's the telepathic ability to help with that – allowing her to read people's minds as well as intentions. Although unbounded idealism can tend to overshadow evil to the point of delusion.

Stella is very compassionate to all forms of life, and is of course vegetarian as any meat ingested would poison her. All forms of life are held equally in her mind – and indeed she holds life as the most important commodity. As a result, any death is the worst trauma to her. As a result she could never harm anyone, or anything. It goes completely against her nature. This sort of compassion takes its toll on Stella, who feels immense pain and empathy for all those experiencing suffering in the world. She internalizes all pain as though it were her own. It gets to be a bit silly sometimes. She forms attachments to absolutely everything. She cries when a house plant dies, and mourns when household appliances break. Even inanimate objects seem to command this strange empathy from her.

The thing that truly separates Stella from others of her kind is one tiny flaw in her brain that causes her to greatly suspect that she doesn't exist. It's a peculiar phenomenon that Stella wishes she could chase away, but it seems to be gripping her life more and more with each passing day. This questioning of her existence began at a young age and has since progressed. She feels disconnected from her body, from the world, and often suspects that perhaps she has died and can no longer exist in a physical form. She is terribly afraid of people touching her and has isolated herself as much as she can.

Essentially, Stella is a bit of a pathetic creature. Unable to defend herself from any threats, completely immobilized by even the death of a toaster, and inexplicably in denial of her own existence.

Stella, like many these days, was born in a laboratory. She was made in a batch of six, who were raised together much like sisters. As they were able to communicate mentally, they formed a very strong bond. Stella's childhood was simple. They were raised without much stimulus to avoid emotional turmoil and distress. Most of their time was spent with simple school lessons and learning how to control their mental abilities. They were all quite emotional as children, but of course never fought or hurt one another as human children might. From the beginning they were peaceful and avoided conflict of any kind.

The six of them were preened for positions as peacemakers, which they all entered when they were old enough. They maintained their bond as sisters, though their positions required them to separate and travel to different parts of the world to help resolve issues. Stella was proud of her work. She had been raised to acknowledge the importance of her position and of the governments position in the proper functioning of peace in the world.

It was in these early days that the disillusionment began. Stella woke up one day feeling very much outside of herself. She couldn't feel her body, and thought perhaps she had died and this was the last moment of her life. After a few moments she realized that consciousness was still very much with her and so she got up and continued her day. The strange feelings persisted, and the worm of doubt began to eat its way into her brain. That was when things started to go wrong for her. She had several emotional breakdowns during her work – crying, shutting down, screaming. It was definitely not helpful at all for keeping the peace.

She was sent to doctors, but they couldn't make sense of it. It must be some flaw in her genetics. The other five from her group were checked too, but they didn't display any of the strange behavior Stella was exhibiting. And it only got worse. She proclaimed that she didn't exist. She panicked when anyone touched her. She was prone to violent fits of crying and seizures. It got to the point where she was no longer suited to be a peacemaker, and instead was demoted to interrogator. The job was less stressful and more manageable for Stella. She has since worked out a system for coping, and by mainly keeping to herself is able to function fairly normally in the world.
