1. Each person is allowed to have as many characters as they can play, but if you go overboard you will lose characters. Take into consideration your computer time and your current characters roles in the game.

2. Each character must have its own account and the account username must be the wolf’s name.

3. Multiple characters must be kept separate. Each wolf has its own account so you must post in IC with the correct account. If you can’t do this you will lose the privilege of multiple characters.

4. We understand that people have lives but please post IC as much as possible. Do not just come and sit around the forum and not post a thing, we expect people to be active with all of their characters.

5. Everyone who role-plays is obviously literate so please act like it. Use proper grammar (punctuations and capitalization) and spelling. You have time to go back and reread posts so stupid spelling errors should not happen often. If you don’t know how to spell something why not use word and spell check or look it up in a dictionary?

6. Each IC post should be no shorter than 3 full paragraphs, remember full pargraphs consist of more than a five sentances on average. Three paragraphs is not a lot but that does not mean we don’t all appreciate and enjoy the effort and detail put into longer posts.

7. Every IC post you make should be in third person past tense. If you do not understand this I suggest reading some of the posts by any accepted character because they post in this format every single time.

8. Everyone here has seen and/or spoken curse words so they are nothing new. Here at Wolven Chronicles we do allow swearing but keep it to a minimum, don’t go overboard with strings of curse words and don’t say them for the fun of it. If a swear word fits the context of your post use it, if not, don’t.

9. Wolven Chronicles is as semi-realistic as possible. We obviously allow talking among the characters. We will allow weird eye colors, to an extent, and we will allow some rather unrealistic eye/coat color combinations. We also let you choose whatever personality/disabilities you wish your character to have as long as you play it accordingly. Your character can not have unnatural characteristics such as horns and wings.

10. Since this is an embellished realistic RPG your characters can die. In fact they will die eventually due to either old age or other causes such as starvation, sickness or injury. The average wolf leaves to between 7-10 years in the wild. However, cubs are also at high risk of death, please see breeding rules for more information on that.

11. A lesson everyone learned from the time before they could walk and talk – be respectful! If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. This refers to both IC and OOC which are kept as separate as possible by the admins and other staff so we ask the same courtesy from you.

12. Like I said, OOC and IC are kept as separate as possible here. If you don’t like someone OOC that shouldn’t affect the relationship your characters have in IC. Also, wolves here are not physic and can not read minds. If another character says something about your character and you aren’t within hearing distance your character has no idea that anything was said. To put it simply just because you may know something OOC does not mean your character knows it IC.

13. You can not go back and edit a post’s content after another character has replied. Content refers to what your character does, says or thinks. You may go back and edit grammar and spelling errors but that is where it stops. If you are caught editing your post after another has replied you will be punished. If you are in a topic alone and wish to move to a different location please go back and add to your previous post - you can only do this if you are alone in the topic.

14. Speaking of punishments… we will be enforcing these rules. We have a warning system based on 3. Three strikes and your out. However, you can redeem yourself by following not only the rule(s) you broke but all of the rules. But after the 3rd warning is received there is no redeeming yourself, 3 is 3 so read and follow the rules!

15. When posting in a section of the forum please read the Posting Format. Posting Formats are there to make everything neater and easier for everyone. This mainly refers to sections where applications are needed or things are documented.

16. Your character may receive a PM from the admin user telling you of a natural occurrence such as pregnancy information and illnesses. Yes, your character will get sick but some will recover and some will get really sick and most likely die. Either way you will be notified of the outcome and intensity of the illness. Gaea and the Turre Ealas will be the ones sending these PMs.

17. Though we allow multiple characters you can not breed two of your own characters together. Multiple characters are allowed in the same packs. However, we ask that you spread your characters out if you desire to have multiple ones. It keeps activity flowing over the entire site when one active person posts constantly in multiple packs and locations.

18. This RP is set to time by season. Each season lasts 6 RL weeks, therefore a year is 6 RL months. We try to keep these numbers as accurate as possible however in the course of posting weather notifications and life the year or season may last a few days more or less than intended. This is okay and should not be worried about. We will just keep going with the season or year despite a few extra days here and there.
