The setting of the RPG is present day, in the fictional town of Willowvale on Khyra Island, just south of the Orre Region.
The blizzard has finally hit the island, causing much strife for students as well as Townspeople alike. Many have closed up shop and retreated to the mainland for protection from the storm, but just as many have stayed and decided to brave the harsh conditions. The unbearable cold, blistering wind and snow make it impossible for many to see two inches in front of them, making conditions unsafe for traveling. Because of this, the school has issued a campus wide-shut down, locking the students within the Academy for their own protection.
