Moonlight filtered through the bare tree limbs and dappled the ground in soft speckles of silver. Shadows played across the snowy ground and a dark ebony colored pelt slid around the trunk of the tree. Smokepaw was moving with great caution. A feeling of great fear was placed on him and he didn't know why. His heart was racing softly in his heart. Just hearing the sound of his own voice was enough to reasure that everything would probably be fine. An owl hooted and shot from the tree up ahead and Smokepaw hissed in anger and surprise. "Stupid bird is good for nothing," he muttered under his breath and rolled his eyes to get rid of some of his scare. A hiss sent him racing through the forest. He didn't know where he was going but he wanted out of the dark woods. The next thing he knew was that he was falling into a dark hole and could see nothing but a pair of eyes peering down at him. Do you ever get the feeling, that your being watched.
