Scytheblade lifted his brown and white head. He quite liked the Marshlands. It was like a safe haven for him. It was calm, and eirie, just the way he liked it. es, the world here may be gross. But it was like the pollen to Scytheblade as a bee to a flower. Hunting here was Scytheblade's past time. Nothing but the calm marsh, him, and the ususpecting prey.

Scytheblade's ear flicked at the sound of a small watery plop. He fell into a silent crouch and stalked toward the noise. He came upon a quite plump rat. It looked healthy enough to eat. Scytheblade silently stalked forward. He was like a white and brown shadow. The rat was in distress, three of its little paws were stuck in the muck. Scytheblade wanted to chuckle, but took no risks to sound. He decided to play with the rat for a bit, then kill it.

Silently, Scytheblade reached out with a white paw, claws unsheathed. He swatted down on the rat, sinking his vermillion colored claws into the rats back. before the rat could cry out in alarm, Scytheblade dug his claws in further, then pulling up the rat to his jaws, he snapped its neck.

"You enjoy playing with your food before you eat it. How pleasanty surprising that another cat would do so," Smokepaw's icy tone slipped through the marshy fog. He emerged with a rabbit clutched in his jaws and his eyes burning their icy disdane for everything around him. He dropped his prey where it would not be ruined by the, so called, liquid of the marsh. "So... I didn't think that ShadowClan cats dwelled here anymore, but since they do, my name is Smokepaw, ThunderClan apprentice but I don't hope to stick around there," he growled turning his head to stare at the borders.

ThunderClan was not exactly a pleasant home for the sarcastic little cat. He was either surrounded by happy, cheerful cats or by none at all, which was really depressing when he thought about it. Why hang about when there was nobody to insult. Ah well it was the ThunderClan life that he lived.... and he was sick of it. He wanted something more out of his life and he wanted to share it with cats who were somewhat like he was. He wanted to leave the Clan and join a new. Possibly the rogues, but ShadowClan sparked his interest above all.

"Well you must be the new leader right? If so then I am requesting to join your clan." It was more of a demand than a request but why push the point. He wanted a new Clan and they needed new members so what did it matter that he was a little brat. There was nothing either of them could do about it really. He smirked and dug his claws into the rabbits body, small droplets of blood seeped out of its fur and onto the ground. Cold, very cold.

Fawnwhisper padded into the forest her eyes searching for the prey that her eyes and stomach, desired. Listening, she heard and smelled a Thunderclan apprentice. What is he doing here? She wondered angrily. Her lips curling into a derisive snarl, she sank onto her haunches letting her muscles coil into a spring like position. She waited only a second before springing. She soared through the air shooting past brush to land heavily on Smokepaw. "Listen crowfood, and tell me why you're here before I kill you!" She sank teeth into his neck, but only lightly. She would kill only if he tried something or was lying.

OOC; Her bio says that she is a quiet cat, but she has a dark side, I forgot to mention!

OoC: Umm, Zebra dear that is kind of powerplaying... I will let Cloverleaf take a look at it though since I am not an admin and I probably shouldn't be jumping down your throat.

ooc: It is a slight bit of powerplaying. Your character, Zebra, shouldn't have any effect on Redtails until it's posted. And that's only if Redtail wants your character to have an effect on Smokepaw.

((OoC: I'll act as if Fawnwhisper came from the shadows and spotted Smokepaw))

Scytheblade's head turned to the apprentice "Smokepaw eh? Well I'm Scytheblade, and well you can 'call' me leader, but I am not." A voice in Scytheblade's head finished his sentence will a yet. He shifted his gaze to the dead rat. He watched a beadlet of blood trickle out of it's neck. His mos green eyes shifted back to Smokepaw.

"I often come out here, to hunt or to get away from camp a a bit, but back to you. What is a little rebel doing in ThunderClan?" Scytheblade quite liked Smokepaw's attitude. He would make a great addition to the Clan.... He came back from thinking "I guess you can come to ShadowClan. He spotted a shape moving along the foggy mist of the Marsh. Scytheblade flicked his tail to Smoke paw to come beside him.

Smokepaw only raised a brow at his statement of not being leader. So there must be other cats here if he wasn't, he thought to himself. At least it wasn't just three cats in the Clan or else he would feel more like a rogue. "Well then who is leader? Wouldn't they be the one to accept me into the Clan," he demanded in his rude little tone. He picked up his rabbit and tossed it to where Scytheblade was standing and watched it fall to his feet. "I guess you could call it a gift, I wouldn't but I, of course, am not you," he growled.

At the soft sound of pawsteps behind him, Smokepaw parted his jaws to see if it was another cat. It was and by the scent of it she belonged to ShadowClan. "I just so happened to be born there and because of my parents tried to make the best of it. I don't care about that anymore I just want to get out of that two-leg dump," he meowed with a smirk. A hint of regret was in his heart when he talked of his parents, they were the only part of ThunderClan that he would miss, and still care for.

Smokepaw's ear flicked back and pressed tight to his head when the, supposed, leader signalled for him to move. He had scented the cat before but had not thought that she would be coming this way. He hissed as she leaped from the brush attempting to pin him. He moved quickly and just moved in time to see her paws sink into the mud where he had been a moment earlier. "I am the newest rank to your Clan, crowfood," he spat at her, " and I would appreciate others not treating me like they do in ThunderClan."

OOC; *Flushes* Sorry! I keep forgetting! I usually RP where it says they will do it, but the other person can decide.....

Fawnwhisper tossed her sleek head eyes flashing. "Well, what would you do if some other clan crowfood came striding into your clan huh? Bet you would have attacked too!" Tail flicking she hissed obviously having lost her dignity, she stalked over to Scytheblade. She kept a good distance away from the two toms, her old fears coming back to her now that any sign of battle was gone. "And if you want to be a Shadowclan cat, better start acting like you have some sense!" Fawnwhisper lashed her tail continually. She would never want to have to be this cat's mentor. His disrespect was too strong.

OOC;Heh, that would be kinda of funny, her having to be Smokepaw's mentor! He wouldn't learn anything becuase they would be bickering so much!

Scytheblade gazed at Smokepaw "You will make a great.....addition....to ShadowClan, the more I guess the better." some voice deep in Scytheblade's mind laughed. "and please, my title is Scytheblade, not crowfood." Scytheblade's temper started to rise, he wanted to get back to hunting, and dismiss this bickering between Smokepaw and Fawnwhisper.

"Fawnwhisper, please, treat this apprentice with respect. He could turn out a strong warrior one day. You never know, he could save your whiskers if you ever come to trouble" his voice was cold, and his moss green eyes were still as stone, giving him a statue like appearance. His gaze drifted to the dead rat, he was temped to eat it, but Clan code said 'the Clan must be fed first'. So he stood staring.

Fawnwhisper glared at Scytheblade. Her lips curled to reveal sharply pointed teeth."Don't tempt me!"She snarled, before turning and stalking over to the rat. She glanced up at Scytheblade and grinned evilly. Then she picked it up and bounded away.

Scytheblade glared at Fawnwhisper as she bounded off with his catch. How dare she! Then he growled. "I hope that rat carries a wonderful disease for you Fawnwhisper!" he ment everyword. Scytheblade chuckled. the rat had been sitting in the wet sloppy ground for a while, and it would have been long dead and gross anyway.

"Idiot cat... how in the world did she ever get into a clan like this," he hissed at Scytheblade, his anger not directed at the tom but at the stupid she-cat. "She doesn't like that I am from a different Clan, but she can just go get picked up by a two-leg for all I care," he grumbled under his breath. When she took off with his rat Smokepaw just watched with his jaw parted slightly in anger and surprise. "Well the rabbit will still be good, it hasn't gone through the mud yet, just take that one and let her die on that rat, hopfully we don't miss it," he growled with a sneer. He flicked his tail in irritance but it soon vanished and he sighed. "So what do I have to do?"

Scytheblade grinned at Smokepaw's words "Sarcastic little one aren't you?" he liked the way Smokepaw acted. "Well we can head to camp, you can bring the rabbit, and if it does happen, we can watch Fawnwhisper choke. We'll have front row spots." Scytheblade's eyes filled with deadly humor.
