Morning Training Session

[Redtail]

Redtail made his way out of camp and headed straight for the Training Hollow. He was going to start his first training session with his new apprentice Rockpaw today. He was so pumped and ready to go that he was almost sure that the whole forest could hear his heart racing. His eyes reflected nothing of how he was feeling but he was so proud that his heart was going to burst with pride. He knew it was rather early but he wanted to be out in the forest with all the life and all the sounds of the new awakening animals. He was hoping that Snowstreak would be out there earlier just as he so they could have some time to talk. If she didn't he was ok with that; maybe they could just spend some time alone later. When he reached the hollow he sat with his tail curled around his paws letting the smells and sounds of the forest flood through his body and into his paws.

Snowstreak sat in the center of the training hollow waiting for the two newest apprentices. She picked up Redtail's scent on the wind, her excitement increasing.

[Redtail]

Redtail saw that Snowstreak was already there waiting also for her new apprentice. He trotted over to her with a broad smile placed upon his face. He could hardly contain his excitement. "Hello. Your here earlier than I am." He mewed softly, his eyes sparkling.

OoC: Sorry I have been having some family problems.

ooc: Don't worry about it. If you need to talk pm me.

Snowstreak stood up and pressed her muzzle to his. She took a step back, her eyes filled with warmth and love. "Actually I wasn't able to sleep. I've been here since moonhigh." She purred. She sat down again and brought her paw to her face. She licked it a couple of times before drawing it over her cheek. Setting it back down she gazed at him for a moment.

[Redtail]

Redtail laughed softly when she told him that she had been there almost all night. "Well I couldn't sleep either, but I decided that I had better just wait until morning to get here." A soft breeze ruffled his fur revealing long forgotten scars and he licked it flat again feeling the pain they reminded him of. He couldn't help but think of Saberclaw at that time; he felt sorry for him, even though they were his enemies. The rogue leader was growing older and he was soon to die. Death was not a pleasing thing to Redtail even for an enemy. He lay his head on Snowstreak's, breathing in her sweet scent. "I'm glad I am here with you." He said.

OoC: Thank you, I will.

"At least you were warm." Snowstreak purred softly, almost laughing. She looked around to the recently fallen snow. "As you can see, it snowed." She licked his shoulder affectionatly and touched her tail-tip to his shoulder. She hesitated to say it, not sure what his reaction would be. But she did, thinking she could make up for what she said, if all didn't go well. "I love you." She mewed softly, almost so that she couldn't here it. She tensed slightly, prepared to withdraw from him if need be.

Redtail almost pulled back from her when she said she loved him. He had never been loved, or loved another, before in his life and now everything was swirling around him. He wasn't quite sure how he felt about this but he was so happy that he could hardly sit. He wrapped his tail around her and looked into her eyes. "You do?" He asked. His voice seemed so unnatural; it didn't feel like his own. "Oh, Snowstreak, I don't know what to say. I love you too." That was all he could say for he felt as if his throat was in his paws and he was walking on air.

Snowstreak looked at him for a moment, her eyes filled with warmth. "I really do." She mewed softly. She felt his tail curl around her, giving her sense of comfort. His next words almost took her by surprise, but she accepted them after a couple heartbeats. She pressed her muzzle to his neck briefly before licking his ear warmly. She fixed him with a soft gentle gaze.

[Redtail]

"I've never really been loved by someone out of my family before, and I don't think that I have ever loved anyone. Not even my own mother." he whispered to her, feeling her warmth and recieving comfort from that warmth. He now realized that he wasn't happy to be out training his new apprentice; he was happy to be out here with Snowstreak.

ooc: Awwww.....I love it!

Snowstreak had no answer to what he said. Actually, she couldn't really speak at all at the moment. She looked at him, her eyes soft and lovving. She pressed her muzzle to his, and licked his cheek lovingly.

[Redtail]

OoC: I know; I'm usually not one for the love between characters but this is so cute and it isn't uncomfortable at all. I couldn't think of anything to put.

BiC: Redtail pressed his head to her's and a deep rumbling purr escaped through his throat. His paws kneading the ground underneath him leaving claw marks in the dirt. His heart was pounding so hard that he thought she was sure to hear it.

Snowstreak listened to the beat of his heart for a moment. She looked up again, her ice blue gaze falling warlmy upon his red pelt. "I think we should see where the two newest apprentices have disappeared to." She mewed quietly not wanting to break the silence too much.

[Redtail]

"Yes, I would have thought they'd be here by now. Where do you think they are?" he asked. He didn't really want to leave but Rockpaw and Hailpaw should have been here by now. He starred out across the hollow and peered into the forest. As he started to worry more he came to a conclusion that they were probably still sleeping. "If they are still sleeping we may have to rouse them out of the apprentices den. I remember by first night as an apprentice; we all stayed up late and talked." He laughed softly to himself as he thought of when he was young.

"Lucky. I was alone my first night." Snowstreak purred. She parted her jaws to taste the air and the two apprentices scent wasn't in the air. She trotted forward, along the trail to the camp, almost coliding with Rockpaw.

"Sorry," he panted. The apprentice dipped his head. "I overslept. Talonpaw should be here soon." He mewed hastily.

[Redtail]

When Redtail saw Rockpaw he glared down at the apprentice, frowning disapprovingly. "From now on I expect you to be here sooner. You know we were about to go looking for you?" he growled in a harsh tone, but his eyes softened and he thumped him over the head playfully, "Just don't get us worried." he added. He looked to Snowstreak and wished, inside, that they had been able to have more time together. "So where is Hailpaw?" he asked looking out into the trees to see if he could catch a glimpse of the cat.
