He couldn't help but smile back at the chick for her self-deprecation, since really, that's something he rarely sees with Sam, the Wonder Giant. Seriously, the kid's so earnest that there's rarely a time he laughs anymore. Kind of sad when the kid used to have this laugh that could make Dean grin. Now, he can't really remember the last time even HE laughed.

But Dean pushed it away to discuss the girl's powers, mostly so he wasn't distracted. If she was a Special Kid, like Sam, he wants to have a little warning. He doesn't really think she's one of Yellow Eye's kids, mostly because he made sure that ol' Yellow Eyes took them all out except for Sam. Well, THEY got the last one for killing Sam first, but… well, that all worked out. "Well, okay…" Dean says and frowns. That wasn't enlightening at all. She could be one of those Telekinetics or something, though he hasn't got a clue what he's supposed to do with her if that's the case. They're not normal, but they're not THAT abnormal… he's pretty much confused as hell.

But the answer about the voices? Okay, that creeped him out. "September 8th?" he repeats and turned to look over his shoulder at Sam before back at the girl. "Alright, good to know… but why'd they be talkin' about me?" he asks her with a frown. After all, yes, it's rare to be lifted out of the Hot Box, but it can't be worthy of Angelic Radio… could it?

Moving closer to Sam so he could both talk to the girl as well as deal with his brother, Dean could only give her a little nod and slide his eyes to Sam. There was something about the look on Sam's face, something almost ashen to the colour in his cheeks, or maybe it was something about the set to his lips that he seriously needs to bring up at a later date. Okay, but not when they have another set of eyes around. The whole mention of Demons should be nothing new… and that has Dean narrowing his eyes on his little brother.

Leaning his head towards his brother, Dean tried not to talk too loud but it's with a wary eye that he keeps looking back over his shoulder as he spoke about things to Sam… but then frowned for what his brother was saying. "No, dude. I think she is on the level. That, or she has some major happy pills… but who else would know our names, know about Demons… AND know the day I got ripped out of Hell? Too many goddamned coincidences…" he mutters low only to glance over at Anna as well. "No, I know you're tryin' to be careful, but I think this is the real deal. Cas wouldn't fuck us over."

He sighed and was about to say more when Sam agreed that yes, he wasn't crazy and Dean ALMOST smirked… Almost. Why not? Because Anna started to go batshit.

Reaching without looking at his brother, he grabbed his jacket and tugged him with him closer. The flickering lights and the bulbs popping, they made Dean jump at first before he raised his voice so he could be heard, the gruff tone sounding a little panicked. "Hey! HEY!" he says holing up a hand. "No one's goin' anywhere without anyone… no one said that…" he says and then shoots a glare at Sam before going on. Mostly because the room has started to calm down and he can tell she's settling down a little too.

"Uh, okay… look. We can get you outta here but you're gonna have to trust us. You alright to walk?" he asks her before glancing back at his brother hurriedly, even as he begins to peel of his jacket. "Cmon, you're gonna have to probably carry her. You on board with this?" he asks, even as he silently holds out his jacket to Anna, hoping she takes it.

The fact alone that this woman was picking out various dates and other really personal stuff should have been a red flag that yeah, there was probably something severely disturbing about the girl but not in the traditional sense. Yes, there were some people who were just nuts, but this one? No, she shouldn't have known the name Castiel like he was some sort of old friend or week-old gossip. Anna Milton shouldn't have known that Castiel had sent Dean to see her, but here she was, and as much as he hated to admit it, she was giving a rather convincing argument.

All the more reason for Sam to feel overly uncomfortable.

Swallowing, Sam decided to take the back seat on this one and watch his older brother talk to her about the various coincidences, the names, the angels, the powers. Sure, his ears perked up at the mention of powers since he was the living, breathing specimen of abilities himself. First of all, he swore that she wasn't some sort of demon army baby because he had seen them all die before his eyes. From what he could recall from the fuzzy memories, Anna was no where to be found on that last.

Plus, if she was a child of Yellow Eyes, why would she be talking to angels?

As she spoke up another date, Sam's eyebrows flew up and his eyes flickered to his brother's as he tilted back to look at him. Damn, this girl was freaking him out in all sorts of ways. Yeah. They needed to talk pronto.

Leaning into his brother, Sam ran his tongue over the front of his teeth and listened to what Dean was saying. "Look, Dean, how do you know Cas won't fuck us over? Do you really have that much confidence in this guy?" he murmured, though before he could really tuck it behind his ear, the uncertainty about Cas and his intentions were starting to bleed through. Angel or not, whatever their lore was about them, Sam didn't like it one bit. Why? Because with the shit he's been doing behind Dean's back with Ruby, things could really be going downhill for him and he'd really rather not get involved with Angels and all that.

    "Listen-" Well jesus christ.

Looking up when the lights began to flicker, Sam ducked his head when the bulbs shattered, covering his head with his arms. Alright, yeah, this was really not his cup of tea, but he didn't want to have some telekinetic pissed at him, let alone someone who's being beaten up by demons. Eyes wide with shock, he looked up to see her sobbing and shook his head. "Right, never said it," he hastily responded, swallowing in mid-sentence. Listening to his brother's plan, his face briefly grimaced as he talked about getting close to her. Great. Someone who was a messenger for the people upstairs who disliked him.

Quickly moving to her, Sam drew in a quick breath and nodded. "You can trust him, and me. We'll get you out of here, Anna, but you're going to have to let me do this," he said, holding out his arms. A flash of old Sam came, the same boy with the constantly concerned face, and he nodded encouragingly. "Let me help you."

Anna’s head tilted as Dean asked her what the Angels said when they talked about him. She wasn’t quite sure how much to tell him, the smile that was on her face before slowly fading into a frown. She knew what he did in Hell, the Angels had talked about it a day after he was pulled from Hell by Castiel. She wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, but the more she began to listen to what they were saying, the more she realized just how bad it was. She would have to talk to Dean about it, maybe he would be able to sort out some blanks that the Angels wouldn’t speak about.

So, what could she say to him? Anna would just stick to positives; “Some of them think that you can save us.” She wasn’t sure from what, but putting together her visions (Which she won’t mention to the pair yet) and what the Angels are saying, it had something to do with the Apocalypse. Her eyes briefly darted to her pillow, where underneath it was her drawing pad that had everything she had seen. The orderly took her coloring pencils away, for obvious reasons, but they at least let her keep the book. Fortunately, she has not had any future glimpses to speak of recently.

Anna felt a bit guilty about her freak out; which had caused the lights above them to flicker and shatter. She never intentionally meant to do this stuff, it all just happened! Why was this happening to her? Powers, Angels, Dean, Sam, Demons… why now? Anna wiped away some of the fallen tears with the back of her hand, her brown eyes avoiding the brothers. It went without saying that she was confused about everything, and even these two didn’t seem to have any answers either. Maybe the Angel Castiel would be able to help her with all her questions. His name seemed so familiar for some reason…

“I… I’m sorry, I can’t… control it.” Anna whispered, finally lifting her eyes to the brothers. When Dean asked if she was alright to walk, she shot him a sarcastic look and raised an eyebrow, giving the whole ‘Does it look like I can fricken walk?’ look. She would have already been trying to walk if she could, but after being drugged up so many times that she lost count and then putting lack of sleep and food on top of that… yeah, she wasn’t about to get up and waltz right out of here. Her harsh look softened when he offered his jacket, a weak smile forming on her pale features. “I… thank you.” Anna said, her hands reaching out to grab onto his jacket, her right hand brushing against his gently; her eyes flashing to Dean’s before she took the jacket from him and put it on.

“Alright, I trust you guys. Anywhere is better than here.” Anna said with a laugh, feeling a bit pathetic as Sam pulled her into his arms. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she gently laid her head on his shoulder, feeling a bit lightheaded from the sudden movement of being lifted from the bed. “I feel pathetic, not going to lie.” Anna said, trying to lighten the mood a bit. Truth is, she felt more than just pathetic. She felt really pathetic that she wasn’t even able to walk and that she had ended up in this crazy bin in the first place. She should have just kept all these visions and Angel talk to herself and maybe she would be still living a semi-normal life instead of… whatever this was.

As the three of them walked into the hallway, Anna lifted her head and opened her eyes… “Oh my god!” Anna whispered in fear, her fingers clutching to Sam tightly. At both ends of the hall was the entire staff of the building; all of them with hideous faces much like the nurse from earlier in the week. They were Demons! She began to shake in fear, another tear escaping her eye and slipping down her cheek. God truly had abandoned her; he wanted her to die, there was no other way to explain why so many Demons were here now. What had she done to deserve this cruelty? Wasn’t God supposed to be merciful?

One of the doctors broke away from the group of Demons, his black eyes darting to all three of them before he spoke, “Just give us the girl and we’ll be on our merry way.” The Demon said a wide smirk on his face, his eyes staring directly at Anna. “We’ll make sure she goes somewhere safe.”

Yep, Dean's sure that if the girl weren't so spot on about dates and names he'd think she was batshit insane but no, she is exactly right and it's kind of creepy… yet a little exhilarating. Why? Because he was freaking right. RIGHT. And not going nuts, even if Sammy thought so. He's forcing himself not to turn around and look smug up at Sam… but it's a close thing, and it's only because he's trying to be calming for the girl.

So what if that didn't exactly come easily to him… usually Sammy's the one who is the more 'touchy-feely' of the two of them, but this time… she has some kind of thing against Sam. He's not going to question it. He's just gonna do what he has to, just to get out of this safely.

Sucking in a breath, he frowned at the girl and then blinks. "Save 'us'?" He turns back to look at Sam but then frowns, not sure he could do anything where angels are concerned. He saw what happened when Cas yanked him out of hell. The place looked like a bomb went off… and that doesn't give him much hope of having a chance. He turned back to Sam to give him a frown and then shook his head. This wasn't his idea of an easy job… not anymore.

"Dude… Cas wouldn't. He just wouldn't. I don't know why, but I trust the guy. I don't think he'd dick with us like this," he muttered at Sam before glancing back over at the girl, his eyes turning just a little worried for the fear and worry on her face. Yeah, he may be hard-hearted, or at least try to show the world he is, but it sometimes leaks through, how he isn't quite as strong as he appears. Yeah, someday that'll come back to bite him in the ass… today will not be that day.

Though for a split second, he thought it might be. Why? Because Anna went a little insane, and the room did too. Snickering at Sammy, Dean was about to say something to him but instead, he turned to the girl and shook his head. "Hey, don't worry about it. Happens all the time." BULLSHIT, but hey, whatever helps her feel better, he thinks before watching his little brother head closer to the girl. HE didn't know how she'd take it, but he was slightly relieved to know she wasn't going to run screaming.

What should have tipped him off was her fear, how easily she was convinced to come with them… because if he thought about it, and he would later, he would wonder why she was drugged to the eyeballs and never ate a thing. And why the place kind of felt wrong. But then he noticed something on the floor, and moving across the floor as Sam dealt with Anna, he bent… and picked up sulphur there, the yellow powder staining his fingers.

"Fuck, demons," he mutters under his breath and meeting his brother's eyes, he followed his brother out into the hallway… "Hey, don't feel pathetic… everyone has their momen-" he begins, only to stop. Why? Because they weren't alone. VERY not alone. The hallway was filled with people… and deep in his gut, Dean knew… they were demons. ALL of them.

"Sam… hold onto her… I've got this," he says as he reaches back into his jacket and pulls out Ruby's knife and gets down into a defensive position, waiting for the doctor. "Yeah, no, I'm not giving her to any of you fuckers. You're gonna have to come and take her…." he says and right then, when that demon was close enough, plunged the knife into the Demon's chest. While the body was flickering with that burning light, Dean turned at once to his brother, face worried, frightened... but ready. "SAM. RUN, TAKE HER SOMEWHERE SAFE. GO!"

And just then, they're rushed, four demons rushing them at once, Dean slammed back against the wall with the sound of cracking plaster. The air knocked out of his lungs, he leaned his head back and growled in the other man's face, this one an orderly dressed in green scrubs. "Man, they'll hire just anyone nowadays, huh?" he says right into those black eyes, the knife coming up to cut a nasty gash in his arm... and he lets go from the shock. Dean, he grabbed Sam. "The window! Go!"

So he'd finally say it: he was damn well convinced. Convinced? Yeah, that she wasn't crazy-- or maybe she was, but it was with good reason, with supernatural reason, and Sam was pretty much convinced on the whole demon bit. Maybe he wasn't entirely one-hundred percent on Castiel or any of the other angels physically being here, he would still call that a coincidence, but the demons attacking her? The voices in her head? Something was up with Anna, and he was ready to help her.

So he offered to pick her up. Sam was the strongest out of the two, or maybe it was because of just how he was built and how tall he was, but he figured Dean could do the talking and Sam could just be the brawn for this job. After all, he wasn't sent to save her, but the Winchesters kind of came as a packaged deal. If one went, chances are the other wasn't much following behind. Doing jobs without Dean were weird, yeah, but they were oddly much more... much more about him.

But his ego wasn't much of the problem at the moment. Once she gave him the green light, Sam gingerly picked her up into his arms, bridal-style, and allowed her to get comfortable with her hands around his neck and her head on his shoulder. She was so fragile that Sam was nearly afraid that she'd break if he held on too tight. As she talked about being pathetic, he breathily chuckled and shook his head. "You're not pathetic, but I promise we're getting you out of here." And he honestly believed they would be out of the clearing.

Eyebrows scrunching, Sam bowed his head. "Demons?" he repeated his brother, his heart slightly sinking. When Dean went into this protective hero mode, Sam knew that this wasn't just one demon or two. No, in his gut he knew there were tons of demons, a possible infestation.

Holding onto Anna tighter, he murmured, "Just keep holding onto me" and kept his grip steady. Like Hell he was going to give her up to them. Standing behind Dean with Ruby's knife -- of course his eyes documented that he was using it, and his heart beat a little faster at the remembrance -- he shook his head as the doctor demon spoke. He waited in the calm before the storm, but as soon as he heard the loud flickers and the bright light, Sam took one last look at his brother, half contemplating on staying to help, but he ducked out and rushed the opposite direction, but it wasn't enough time. No, they didn't have enough time.

"Dean!" He yelled, curling his arms around Anna to make sure she wouldn't get harmed. If there was one thing he could do right in this situation, it was protect her. Why? Because there was just a little itty bitty secret he had rolled up his sleeve that convinced him Anna wouldn't be harmed.

As he was grabbed, Sam's eyes widened and looked to the window. "Are you crazy? She's going to-" Looking back at the demons, he knew it was probably the only way of getting out of this place, and before he could say anything else to his brother, he mentally prepared himself. "You're going to have to cover your face. Brace yourself," he told Anna, and with that took a breath and ran at the window with his body turned enough to try and shield her with his arms.

If Dean thought he was confused about the whole ‘save us’ thing, Anna was just as confused by the words vague meaning. The angels weren’t specific on who exactly was the ones that needed saving, but the logical conclusion would be humans. Angels didn’t need saving from anything, did they? From what she understood, they were powerful, since one had pulled Dean from the pits of Hell and placed him back on earth. What would they need saved from? Her thoughts drifted to a quote that she heard a long time ago; ‘Absolute power corrupts absolutely’, so maybe there was some issues within Heaven itself? Na, that didn’t make any sense. Heaven was supposed to be all fluffy and smiley, right?

Even though Dean reassured her that light bulb exploding and light flickering happened ‘all the time’, Anna held high doubts that it did. Regardless, she just flashed him a weak smile. At least now they were starting to believe that she wasn’t crazy. Heaven, Hell, the angels, demons, all of this was real. After being locked away for over a week and constantly being told everything you were hearing or seeing was just a bunch of lies and in your head, Anna actually began to believe that she was going insane. There was no feeling that was more sickening than that. She had lost all hope and the hospital did nothing to help her gain any. Not only was she mentally dying inside, she felt like she was physically wasting away too.

Anna shook her head, wanting to believe the brothers that she wasn’t pathetic, but that didn’t help. “I’ll make up for it later...” Anna muttered, feeling her eyelids suddenly becoming heavier; like weights were pulling them shut. Her head fell against Sam’s shoulder as she fought the urge to go to sleep; no she had to stay awake until they were safe and sound out of this hell hole. She didn’t realize her description was pretty much one hundred percent accurate when they walked out in the hallway and were surrounded by demons. Oh, come the FUCK on…

She eyed the doctor fearfully as he stared right back at her, only to let out a soft cry when Dean stabbed him. The demon glowed for a moment before collapsing onto the ground dead, her brown eyes wide with fear as Dean yelled for Sam to get her out of her. “Dean!” Anna tried to yell, her voice coming out barely above a whisper. Anna wanted to help; she didn’t want Dean to fight these creatures by himself! But she knew that she wasn’t going anywhere when Sam held onto her tighter, her eyes starting to burn with fresh tears. She watched in fear as Dean was pinned to the wall, and as the demon backed away after being cut in the arm by the blade, Anna lifted her hand. The demon was lifted into the air and thrown back into two other demons that were charging the trio. She dropped her arm exhaustedly; it felt like she wasn’t even in control of her body when she did that, like it was just an instinctual action.

Anna didn’t make any argument to Dean’s idea of Sam jumping out the window with her. Yeah, she didn’t exactly love the idea of jumping through one in the first place, but they had no where else to go. “Okay.” Anna responded, shoving her head into his chest to cover her face as she held onto him tighter. She could feel him running, hear the sounds of shattering glass, and the rush of cool air blowing against her and the sensation of falling. They were on the second floor, after all, and Anna gripped onto Sam as they rolled across the ground. Once they stopped, Anna let out a few panicked breaths that she had been holding in her lungs, raising her head to look up at Sam. “Sam, you alri…” Anna had started to ask, but she stopped.

As if her face couldn’t get any paler, it somehow managed to as the angel voices returned; but this time the voices were louder than ever before. She could hear them as clear as a bell; they mentioned her name, Dean, Sam, the hospital… “They’re coming!” Anna cried, the lights all around the complex beginning to flicker, Anna’s eyes wide with fear as they darted around. Lights inside the building started flickering as well, making it an odd spectacle to watch from the darkness outside. This time it wasn’t her doing this; the angels were coming!

There was a soft breeze and standing directly behind Sam was an angel. Anna stared into Sam’s eyes before she wriggled herself out of his arms, pushing herself up onto her feet. She swayed a bit, closing her eyes to regain some sort of balance before she took a step towards the angel. The angel took a step closer, Anna taking a step as well until they were face to face. Her brown eyes looked up at the angel’s deep blue ones, the voices in her head now much louder. “Save Dean.” Anna whispered. The angel tilted his head a bit, looking down at her with a frown on his face. Was this angel deaf or something? “Save Dean, now.” This time her voice was much louder, almost like she was giving this an angel an order. The angel took a deep breath before nodding his head slowly, “This time only, than never again, Anna.” And with that, the angel disappeared.

The lights on the second floor began to pop and shatter, raining down sparks and glass. Three angels, in their human hosts, appeared on both sides of the hallway, becoming a barrier between Dean and the demons. As one demon charged them, the female angel grabbed him by the throat and slammed him on the ground, putting her hand on his forehead as a bright light flashed out of his mouth and eyes before he lay lifeless; the same angel from outside approached Dean, grabbing him by his shirt and moving him towards the window. “We’ll be back for her.” The angel said before he threw Dean out the window…

This? This wasn't exactly what Dean signed up for. A hallway full of demons, a girl who he was SURE was whackadoo and is now an Angel antenna... and okay, completely outnumbered by about thirty to one. This isn't exactly what he'd call a fair fight.

Yep, he and Cas? They're having words about this later.

Glad for a split second that Sammy has Anna and is holding tight onto her, Dean could only revel in that thought for a second or two before he was slammed back against the wall, the demon-doctor right in his face as he not only punched Dean in the face, but also dislocated his shoulder with the slam into the wall. Sure, he didn't like knowing that he was, yet again, pressed to the wall and at some Demon's mercy, but it helped to know that he'd given the guy something to run home crying to his Mama about if he were to die there.

It was the one good thing about Ruby... that knife. Well, that, and she had good taste in french fries.

The Demon's hand going around Dean's throat, he could only tilt his head back and groan for the air slowly being cut off... just before suddenly, the guy was halfway across the hallway and toppling over to other demons as he was, it looked like, jerked away from Dean. Dean, though, dropped to the floor and rubbed at his throat while glancing back at Anna with a blink. Yeah, he knows he saw that. SHE was the one who just saved HIS ass. "Hey, thanks," he says gruffly before realizing that the wave of Demons is only just starting. This is going to get really messy...

And that's why he told his brother to take Anna and go, and watching Sam hesitate, he turned his head and yelled at him again, holding one arm against his body for how it's dislocated at the shoulder. "Dammit, Sam. Don't argue with me. NOW, SAM, GO!" and he pushed at his brother's arm, not wanting him to stay and be hurt. He didn't want this to be all for nothing, either, because it's obvious these Demons want this girl to remain with them... and two guesses why. The first one doesn't count and has nothing to do with angels.

Dirty bastards.

That's when he turned away, intending to distract the others even as he heard Sam comforting the girl, and then the smash of glass as his brother and Anna went out the only way they could. Dean, for his part, didn't hesitate, swinging the knife in a semicircle, just to keep the bastards back while he slowly stepped backwards towards the window. He didn't think they'd let him out, either, and he knew, on a level that only a man who knows his time's short knows, that his last few minutes on earth were going to be painful.

Nice to know this trip topside was short, though he has a feeling Evie's gonna wanna kick his ass for being late to pick her up.

And that's when the lights began to flicker again. Frowning, he glanced up at the one just overhead, muttered a quick 'Sonovabitch' and felt something grab him just as one of the lightbulbs popped, showering him with glass. That's when he got it. The guy in front of him, he's not a Demon... it's an angel. Arching a brow at the guy with his hand twisted in his shirt, he opened his mouth as if to say something... then slammed it shut for what the angel said. Letting himself be tugged towards the window, he blinked, wishing he knew what to say, only to scowl. "Back for her? HUH?" he says and it was then the he realized what the hell was about to happen.

"Oh I don't think s-," he began, only to be thrown what felt like overhand, out the broken window. Arcing across the space where the parking lot was, he only came to a stop when he landed with a roll on the grass near where his brother and Anna were, Dean coming to a stop with a groan of pain. "Jesus Christ..." he muttered under his breath before flopping back onto his back. "Sammy, I'm not sure I like Angels anymore..." he muttered and then, because of the pain, he passed out, his dislocated arm hanging at an impossible angle.

A hospital full of demons? Wasn't exactly on his plan of things to do. He already knew that he could get them out of this predicament if he had to because, well, he had that little extra magic on the side, but with Dean there it was near to impossible to do. Even while he was occupied with warding off demons, Sam still had Anna resting on him, weak and frail, and he had to keep that in mind. He was thinking for her, not himself, and his main objective was to get all three of them out of this place alive.

His hands were itching to put Anna down, to help out his brother in ways even he could barely understand, but this was his job. Sam's eyes flickered with concern as he watched the scene unfold, his grip tight on Anna's body. Watching his brother getting backed up into the wall, he lurched forward on instinct. "Dean!" he shouted, but before he could react further, his eyes practically bulged out of his head at the sight of the demon being lifted in the air only to collide with the other demons.

Well, that was convenient and absolutely not expected.

With no other options left, Sam took his brother's advice and burst through the second story window. He wouldn't lie, that hurt like a bitch, but he was more concerned about the glass getting on her. Lifting his head after they rolled and landed, Sam caught his breath and scrunched up his face to get a look at her. "Anna?" he asked in a rushed voice, but when he saw her face, the lines in his softened. They're coming!

And he almost dared to ask who when he saw Anna get up on her own. What the hell was she thinking about doing?! She was staring away from him, behind him, and he leaned his head back, but something was hurting him that caused him to lay back down. His arm was continuously shooting pain into the rest of his body, leaving him on the ground for the time being. He couldn't exactly tell what was going on, it was happening way too fast, and before he knew it, his brother was laying beside him.

"Ya think?" he breathed before wincing. "I think there's something in my arm.... Dean?" Lifting his head in the grass, Sam's eyes widened as he forced himself to sit up. "Dean?!" Goddamn it. Getting to his feet, he scrambled to his brother's side and winced at the angle of his arm. "We gotta go," he murmured. As best as he could with the arm that he had, he bit his lower lip, encasing the yell threatening to come out, and picked up the shorter man. "We need to get to the car."
