You can read more at: Jurassic Park Legacy I admit, I have never actually watched a special on the Weather Channel or even tuned into the station much at all over the years, but if this special is made, I will definitely have a reason to! When I hear of a specific date, I will update this post as well as post a new reply containing the date and time, if someone does not beat me to it, of course!  --->Update!<--- We now have a date and a time for the Jurassic Park special! August 9th at 8:30pm ET/PT Should you miss the original airing, here are the dates and times the special will re-air: August 10th at 2:30am & 2:30pm August 16th at 2:00pm Mark those calendars and ready those VCR/DVRs! |

I do not believe this is intended to be a series. I do not see how they could turn this into a series when they are only going to look at how the storm impacted the filming of Jurassic Park. Razzie, I did not know that. Hopefully I will get to see what one of these t-shirts look like during the special! It's a shame that you do not get the Weather Channel and thus cannot see this special, but I would not worry completely - I imagine someone will likely upload some, or all, of the special on YouTube. |

We now have a date and a time for the Jurassic Park special! August 9th at 8:30pm ET/PT Not too far off, either! Did anybody here catch the special? I definitely enjoyed it and learned a few things too about the cast (including Martin Ferrero's son) while enjoying footage that I don't think has ever been released. The cast & crew conveyed their feelings of being around such a powerful storm quite well. The shots of the storm were both impressive and shocking at the same time.
I don't want to disclose too much because if someone here has yet to see it, I don't want to spoil the special. In case anybody is wondering, there were three cast members interviewed for this special: Sam Neill Ariana Richards Martin Ferrero A shame more of the cast was not interviewed, but still, it was great to hear from these three on this "little adventure" during the filming of Jurassic Park! Well, I suppose I could just post some of my thoughts below, but first, spoiler warning! I thought it was real sweet of the cast and crew to put together a surprise birthday party for Ariana Richards. I did not know the cast and crew were that close. Steven Spielberg keeping the kids calm during the storm by playing cards with them and telling stories was real nice of him. He wanted to keep their minds off the storm, and he did, especially with the ghost stories! The crew did an awesome job helping to clear the roadways and get supplies to the island so that people could experience relief. They really jumped into action and put all their skills as a movie crew to work in a way that was very touching and admirable. Martin Ferrero & Sam Neill have really aged. I was actually shocked when I first saw Mr. Bloodsucking Lawyer. I shouldn't be surprised though... the movie was filmed in 1992, after all. We all age... |

I have to agree about the aging part... Sam Neill in particular when he does TV shows  Iniki is mentioned in the "Making of JP" book, and it mentions the building of roads for filming plus the clearup afterwards. But I didn't know about Arianna's birthday! On the topic of Arianna, she did some of her own  fan art, I don't know if it was during filming, or after the film was released  -------------------- THE ULTIMATE CROSSOVER WEBSITE! |
