It was almost depressing to think that her time as a weyrling was coming to an end. Soon enough, she would be a full fledge Junior Weyrwoman which was something she hadn’t ever pictured doing. Yet here she was, doing exactly that. Funny how life always seemed to throw you a curveball when you least expected it.

The only disappointment she was currently facing was the fact that she was bored. Done was her assignment for her weyrling class and avoiding as much work that had to do with the weyr as possible. The work of a weyrwoman was anything but fun and it grated on Ashe’s nerves. Not to mention that one of the one things she enjoyed, she couldn’t have. Which only made the blonde that much less enjoyable to be around. But that wasn’t the only reason why she was stalking around. She was looking for a place to hide in her boredom so she wouldn’t be pestered for awhile by some rider or weyrwoman. They ALWAYS had something for her to do and she just seemed to be unable to get through them that she wasn’t a lackey.

So far, no luck.

It didn’t exactly help either that the Weyr was in less than working order or even livable condition. It only made finding a hiding place that much harder. After all, she didn’t want to have the roof fall on her, get bitten by a tunnelsnake or some stupid thing like that. That would just be embarrassing to her. It meant that she wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings and the last thing she needed was to be mocked for something like that.

So going over the list of likely places to hide out in, Asherah decided that what used to be the Records Room would be a good place to start for a potential hiding place. With a turn to the left, she stalked down the halls till she got to her desire destination. Of course she didn’t walk right in. No, for once she peeked her head in ad found a surprise yet not unpleasant or unwelcomed. There he was, her Weyrling Master. Sitting in a chair, reading over a hide. She couldn’t help but grin.

Slowly but surely, the goldrider crept across the room till she got behind the bronzerider and promptly draped herself over him. “ Whhaaaaat’cha doing? “ She purred out, fully intending to push his buttons for her own amusement.

Ev'an wasn't the happiest camper at the moment. Clearing out the ruins of the old records room and trying to salvage things (really, there was very little) was not his idea of fun. However, it needed to be done. It utterly needed to be, and he wsn't above doing the dirty work that other bronzeriders tended to turn their noses up at. Shards, he was a weyrling master, a position normally taken by a Blue or Brown rider... Really, he wasn't too concerned about appearances. His actions spoke for him.

Which was why, right now, he was kicking at an old wooden cabinet that was about to fall appart anyway. The thing couldn't be salvaged but it had warped shut and he needed to get into it to see if anything could be salvaged. He had done this with a couple of others of course, but there had been little more than dust in them. he had higher hopes for this one because there weren't many gaps for air to get in. After some time he kicked it again and the old wood gave with a crack, caving in. He looked in and saw a couple hides and gently reached in to pull them out. Taking them over to a table that had been quickly made and dragged in, he rolled them out very, very gently, hoping to see something useful.

Seeing what was on the hides he sighed heavily and shook his head. Not useful... It was simply a tithe report. No names of previous dragonriders, nothing. Just an informal list of what had come in on a tithe train... He growled to himself, eyes closing for a moment. The stress was getting to all of the riders. With these tribesmen wandering about and no herds to keep them all fed, hunting was having to be done. And finding herd animals not owned by these nomads was proving somewhat difficult. Thankfully, there weren't too many so far to support but it would become that way soon if they didn't work out a deal. He hadn't seen any of these people but from what he had heard they weren't always very friendly... Frowning, he rolled up the hides and put them back, then moved to sit back at the table. What were they going to do?

He had of course sent his weyrlings off to help with what they could. Any who had started in a trade were helping with that. Any who hadn't had been paired up with someone else to assist them. So when he heard a familiar voice and felt the body drape over him he tensed. He wanted to shout, but instead took a very deep breath and shrugged her off of him, or tried.

"Asherah, I'm working. What are YOU doing?" he growled out in annoyance. "Where is H'ran? You're supposed to be working with him." The weyrling Bluerider had been a Woodcrafter before, something they dearly needed now, and Asherah was supposed to be assisting him. It shouldn't surprise him he knew, that she was trying to shirk work, and he supposed it didn't surprise him. What it did do was make him angry. "Go on back to him and help. Now." He wasn't in the mood for her games right now.

She didn’t budge when E’van shrugged his shoulders, remaining firmly draped over him. It wasn’t comfortable but it wasn’t uncomfortable either. He had nice muscles which made it comfortable. But that wasn’t why she was here. She was here for amusement and her Weyrling Master was one of her most favorite sources of amusement. “ H’ran and I finished our work so I came to play with you, because I know I am your most favorite student. “ She crooned into his ear. Surprising enough, it was true. She HAD finished her work.

Maricelath was in the weyrbowel, bouncing about happily. She was chasing some tunnelsnakes which had been unfortunate enough to emerge in the Weyrbowl. None of her clutchsiblings had wanted to play with her or were too busy to even do so. For now, she was distracted enough to not pay attention to the fact that she was alone, something which she hated. She whined and began to dug when the tunnelsnakes began to burrow into the sands to escape the gold. Finally, the dragoness was forced to give it or otherwise there would be a massive hole within the Weyrbowl, which would get her yelled at. And Maricelath didn’t like being yelled at all. Politely enough, she began to refill the hole she had caused and even packed it down. Now what was she to do? Was her rider done yet? Oh she hoped so.

Asherah peered over E’van’s to get a better look on what had captured his attention before she had interrupted him. Her eyes swept over the faded writing, quickly determining that it was a tithe report. Not something important at all, not in this day in and age at least. Pursing her lips though, the gold rider slipped a hand down to smooth down the scroll to see if she could find a date, to try and help determine what Turn it was. None was found though which was disappointing.

She glanced over at him with a grin, giving a giggle in turn. “ You know stop this and come have fun with me…you know…teach me something…” She rolled out, leaning in close to his ear to tease him more. The way he got so worked up was funny but also, attractive. She knew that she wasn’t the only one who found the bronze rider appealing to the eyes as well but in her mind, she was the only one worthy of even laying claim to the man if she should so choose. She was a gold rider after all and as such, deserved only the best as did her dragon. Speaking of which, what was her dragon doing?

The golden munchkin looked around, suddenly becoming rather sullen. Being alone was no fun at all and always made her quite sad. She simply hated being alone! Oh how she wished someone would come and be with her. Maricelath blinked when she saw a dragon starting to glide downward and quickly lit up. Oh yes! A companion! Her joy only increased when she saw it was the bronze dragon, Seraphath. ‘ Oh Seraphath! How relieved I am to see you, oh yas I am! ‘ The gold called out joyfully, bounding over to the bronze once he had landed. She quickly nuzzled up to him, rubbing her head against his shoulder in greeting. The bronze was a most welcomed sight indeed.
