Some good news and bad news from our ride around the enduro loop yesterday. The north end of the riding area got hit pretty hard and has made some trails impassable, in particular the Pines and the Oppossum trails. Some truely HUGE hardwood trees are down in a few spots on the Oppossum trail, so I'm not sure that will be useable for Wudi. I was not planning on using it anyway personally so not a great loss if it's not cleared in time. I do plan to have the Pines cleared, as that's a lot of fun to ride.

Way on the south end at Black Mt, the trails were almost totally clear, but some of the single track up on the pipeline will need some work to clear, too. You can get through them okay, but we need to throw off some of the broken branches and stuff.

We've put out a "calling all club members" bulletin on the Razorback Riders forum since the enduro is not long after the Wudi ride. Hopefully we'll get some good work done in the next couple of weekends by a goodly number of folks. But I'll be back down there next Sunday and then most likely both days the following weekend. So for sure the main routes we'll be using should be clear.

I'm not trying to worry anyone here. I was worried at first since we started on the north end of the area. But my mind eased considerably as we went south. A couple of the longer ST trails didn't have any debris on them. There will be plenty of good single track to ride, but you might run into fallen trees here and there, depending on how much clearing we get done.

Pictures from storm.

We finished cutting out our new trail Saturday and it is 6 miles of tight going. I'm hoping some of you folks will help us break it in. It's clear as far as face slappers and the like and we hung lots of tape, it's just tight stuff that needs to be ridden. It was a nice weekend for working trails. Cloudy and about 70 both days.
