--- One of the oldest and most recognizable bridges in the world, the Brooklyn Bridge crosses the East River in order to connect Brooklyn to Manhattan. The bridge is open to cars as well as pedestrians and cyclists making it an easy way to get into Manhattan or Brooklyn.

--- If you’re a student, investigator, or just like to read, you might stop by the Central Library, a huge library located right in Brooklyn for your convenience. If you’re with someone, just make sure to keep your voices down. It is a library after all.

--- Due to all the Ukrainians that live in Brighton Beach, it has been dubbed “Little Odessa.” Bordering Coney Island’s beach makes it a popular place for New Yorkers to go to catch some rays and relax for a little weekend getaway.

--- Coney Island was one of the first major amusement parks. Though it died down after WWII, it has begun a small restoration and will always be a place of nostalgia. It has been featured in many movies (Annie Hall or Requiem for a Dream anyone?) and is home to where the hotdog was invented and the hotdog eating contest every summer. Oh and we can’t forget the famous Cyclone rollercoaster. The fact that it’s so old and rickety you feel like you’re about to fall to your death just adds to its charm. If you feel like dressing up as a mermaid, head down to the annual mermaid parade. Overall, there’s still some old rides left and it’s definitely a colorful place.
