001. Register with first and last name in all caps. For example: JOHN DOE 

002. those with squeaky-clean morals have been warned: adult themes are permitted. this site is mature so mature threads are allowed. However, please label them with a "R" or "M" so that other members are warned in advanced. This pertains to threads with excessive violence, drug use, or sex. 

003. No spamming and no advertising besides in the advertisement board. It's superlame. don't be that guy. 

004. No unnecessary OOC drama, keep that off the site. we will not tolerate rudeness or idiocy of any kind. being a douchebag is a good way to earn a one-way ticket to bansville. If you have a problem, pm an admin. 

005. No posting on the IC boards until your character has been accepted. 

006. 
plot pages are mandatory. You can not request characters until you post a plot page. 

007. In order to keep ratios equal, once you make two females, you must make a male. on sites like this, where most of the players are females who like to play females, it’s hard to maintain a realistic girl-to-guy ratio if we don’t try to enforce it a little. and seriously, playing someone of the male persuasion is not that scary. not being a guy might make them a little difficult to play, but it’s rewarding and stretches your skills out. besides, here’s a little secret from the manly side of the tracks: it’s sometimes really, really fun. end recruitment speech. 

008. We reserve the right to deal out punishment for breaking the rules as we see fit. oooooh, scary.

009. Choose either the interview or freestyle application template and use it for each of your characters. 

010. You may post applications that are not completed in the unfinished applications threads. Once you post an application, you have one week to complete it before it is archived. If you wish for it to be reopened, post in the character/thread moderation board. 
011. 
If you have not logged in for more than seven days EST time, your character will be deleted. It does not matter if your other characters are active. You need to log into all of your accounts and be active on them. 

012. If you post in the unfinished application board, when you are finished delete that application and repost it in the finished applications (because we gave you that capability!) 

013. All characters must be eighteen and over. and please, make their ages realistic to your chosen pb. that means, don't try to pass like, leonardo dicaprio off as a 22-year-old. embrace the age! 

014. when making a face claim, use real people (actors, musicians, models, etc). there is a permanent ban on the following faces and they are not allowed to be used: any and all facebook/myspace people (hannah beth, molly steele, j* [although why anyone would want to use j* is baffling], etc.); in addition, you may not use yourself as a pb. 

015. if you do not claim the pb you are using, it is not our problem. if someone else then claims that face, even if you have been accepted, you have to change your pb. so, claim the face. 

016. Sometimes the admins get busy. Please do not pester us to look at your applications (because then we'll take longer just to annoy you, ha). We get to them as soon as possible.

017. this is a literate site. proper spelling and grammar is an essential. we understand that spelling errors are going to happen--we are human, after all (or are we dancer?)--but spell check is definitely a feature that you need to be acquainted with. 

018. posting minimum is 400 words. if you feel as if you can’t flesh it out in this particular post, believe me, you can. i believe in you! and if you're feeling uninspired, by all means take a break to find your muse again. we all have our off days, but do not make it a habit. 

019. no godmoding/powerplaying, obviously. 

020. Be realistic with your characters and situations. There are no all knowing or all powerful characters. basically, do not create mary-sues and gary-stus. that is really annoying. Give them some flaws. Give them some depth. we can't all be as awesome as i am.
