Information

Erik will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, no matter who chooses to stand in his way. He prefers to be solitary, but knows that he can’t always achieve his goals without help. He does not forgive and he does not forget, but he will give respect where respect is due.

Friends

Friends aren’t exactly high up on his list of priorities. He’ll gladly accept followers, however, and those who share his beliefs are rarely his enemies. The only person he’s truly considered a friend so far was Charles.

Enemies

Anyone who has done him or his people a severe wrong- so mankind, for one thing. Also, Shaw. Even some who share his beliefs can permanently lose his respect. Many people who disagree with him view him as an enemy, even if he does not care enough to consider them one.

Lovers

If friends aren't high on his list, then love isn't there at all. He hasn't had the time or the opportunities for it to become a concern, and he's not one to open up easily. You’re welcome to make an offer, but things aren’t likely to be more than one-sided. It all depends on the character and the situation; but, so far, lovers haven’t been of much interest to him.

Well, as of now Erik is the only person that John truly respects and actually is willing to trust. His power is alluring to John and because of this he wants to be one of his closest followers. He is working his way up through the Brotherhood and possibly striking up a friendship with Michael, his closest follow. I was thinking John could eventually get to be one of Erik's top followers, and while not exactly a friend someone he would know he could trust and would probably risk his life for him. He's in it for all the power.

I think, at first, Erik will be more wary of John than anything else. He'll need to earn any trust and respect that he hopes to get from Erik. John's recklessness and pride will definitely make Erik watchful of him, though. The same goes for how manipulative John is. If he does anything to make Erik think he is trying to challenge his power or position, Erik will make sure to keep power away from him. I also completely see Erik pushing his temper and testing his self-control. But yeah. John would really have to work for and earn it. Befriending Michael might make Erik think that John's trying to take his place, soooo.... Yeah. He'll be walking a fine line, haha. Does all that make sense/sound good?

tense.
i think tense might be the right word to describe babette and erik's relationship, if there ever was one. Babette is just not very fond of Germans in general, but if she ever found out what happened to him, she might become a little less bitter toward him. In any case, they could relate their experiences, even though they are two completely and totally different personalities, which might actually cause some dislike between them. Really it could go any way, haha. Thoughts?

I agree. Tense is... pretty much perfect haha. If/when Erik realizes that she dislikes Germans, he'll probably hate her for it. He'd understand where the bitterness comes from, but he'll think that it's misguided. After all, he is German, but his family was also killed by Germans. He'll just assume that she's viewing the Nazis as the entire German people, which will... make him pretty much hate her, yeah. I think their clashing personalities will keep them from being anything more than tensely not-unfriendly towards each other. Even with their relate-able experiences, I don't see them bonding haha. That all make sense/sound good?
